Cutting MAT Green A1-60cm X 90cm RS0005636

I have used self-healing mats many times before and this is NOT self healing, just hard plastic. A blade drawn across this leaves a gash and will go dull in very few passes. You'll be going through a lot of expensive blades with this thing.If I could give this no stars, I would. Don't get sucked in by the other reviews, as I did!!! They are now trying to get me to pay for return shipping - on an item NOT AS LISTED. Not impressed.

I recently took up quilting and patchwork and invested in all the gear and I chose the largest cutting mat I could find so that it would cover a large portion of my table. I am pleased I did as it was so much easier when I was cutting long strips.I was worried about the cut marks making the surface uneven but the self healing property of this mat is great. There are certainly sections of my mat which are used more than others and you can see that but the surface is still smooth and does not interfere with cutting straight.I cannot compare to it any others as this is the first self healing cutting mat I have owned but I can see this lasting a fair few years and it gets plenty of use.

I purchased this mat for cutting out fabric for quilts. It is perfect for the job and is a good size. Have used it extensively this afternoon, since it arrived, and there are no marks at all on the mat or on to the fabric. Just perfect for using a rotary cutter. I wouldn't rate this mat as a toy, however I suppose it is a toy for quilters! I am sure there would be many different uses for it. My previous mat began to leave bits on the fabric and mark after only a short time, this one is much more durable. It arrived by courier very flat and well protected. Excellent purchase.

I bought three of these to cover my table top for cutting out fabrics. I do dressmaking regularly and use them with rotary cutters. These mats have been going strong for a couple of years now so I couldn't be more pleased. I leave them permanently on my dining table with a heatproof tablecloth over the top, and they have never warped. The self-healing properties haven't deteriorated either, they are still like new after a scrub with warm soapy water. Well worth the money.

I am new to quilting and bought a much smaller self healing mat, having had a nasty accident with my rotary cutter, decided on buying the larger mat. I am finding out the expensive way that you can't cut corners with quilting and buying the right product in the first place is the way to go. I am very happy, the only thing I will mention is the fact that it has to be kept flat, I now have it underneath my large sofa safely out of the way and keeping it totally flat as recommended.

My heading says it all really. I thought I was ordering a West design A1 cutting mat printed in Millimetres as listed but I received an Amtech Space Fly A1 cutting mat.I already have one of these and it is a much inferior mat to the West Design. It is a much poorer quality cutting surface which does not last very long and is only very crudely marked in Centimetres not Millimetres.As the item supplied is not as listed I returned the item got a full refund.

Fantastc self healing cutting mat. This cutting mat is durable and has clear markings to enable accurate and precise cutting. I use it to cut stretch lace and delicate fabrics and it works perfectly.

Very pleased with this mat. Just the right size and the grid is much clearer than it appears on the screen. It needs to be stored flat so it doesnt bend, but will slip into my A1 folder too.
