How does the magnetic base work with stainless steel knives that aren't magnetic?

I wish I could answer you but out of the 75 - 100 knives I own that run the gambit from high-carbon steel to hi quality stainless steel I haven't found one that is non-magnetic! If you have one I would like to know what material it is made from.
