The media could not be loaded.  Not a fan. This product might do better with gentle/timid dogs who don’t like to excessive chew or destroy or dig. This products seemed to start breaking down after very little use.

My dachshunds are 7 male and 9 female. Their hounds. They love to track and find. And after reading reviews for other similar products, I thought this one seemed well made and was a good value for the money so I thought I would give it a try.They love this thing. The male is an excellent tracker and a great hunter. He has killed more than his fair share of critters which unfortunately found their way into our yard and his little mini-self took it upon himself to dispose of them. But the female went crazy with this thing and by far outshined him in skill!The entire piece if made of easily-washable felt. It doesn't seem like it would be sturdy, but trust me, it is. The female sped through the lower part of the mat with all the flaps, pushing her nose quickly under them, to find all the treats. The male, on the other hand, enjoyed poking his nose in the various hiding places in the upper part of the mat, where he had to push things open with his nose. He's a digger, and he dug at several of the sections, and the mat did not rip or tear. I am sure had we not supervised him, he could have destroyed this thing by digging, but it can handle a little here and there.The first time they played with it, we easily got 8-10 minutes of play from them. The second time, they were pros and I think we got 3-4 minutes. They are not bored with it at all. We can take it out every day and they still enjoy the challenges, wagging their tails the entire time. I might get a different mat and interchange them out from day to day, but for now, they love their mat. It's such a clever idea and so simple, too. I wish I would have thought of it. Great product!!

The XL mat was perfect for my mastiff who had fun foraging for some treats! I recommend scruffing up the mat before use so everything is not flat, to make it easier for you dog to use their nose.

My border collie/ aussie mix loves this thing. She is stubborn about eating and I usually have to coax her, she also has some anxiety. I was just going to use it for in the mornings while I leave for the day to help with anxiety and giving her something to do, but she loves it so much I use it for dinner too. She gets excited for meals now and it take her about 45mins to eat all of it. Great purchase. May invest in a different one down the line that has tougher challenges.

My 14-year old shih tzu usually has no interest in new toys, but she loves this one!!! She spends half her day "foraging" through the house, looking for treats. But she was always under my feet while I was trying to cook dinner, so I needed something to keep her busy. This is perfect! I put it on top of her crate while I hide tiny pieces of her favorite treat all over it. Last night was only her 2nd time using it, and she already knows exactly what I'm doing. She was barking and barking like crazy, the entire time that I was loading it up. Then she spent a good 40 minutes sniffing the thing, even turning it over and practically ripping it apart in an attempt to find the hidden treasure. I'm glad that I found something that's interesting to her. Also, the pictures don't do it justice. This is a big, well made mat. The colors are a lot more vivid in person. My only complaint is that it arrived quite crumpled and reeking of that trademark scent that is so gross but seems to be on all Amazon products these days. It took a day of airing out before I could no longer smell it, but the first day I had it in my living room, it gave me a sore throat. That scent is just so obnoxious and irritating to people with asthma and allergies. Amazon, please stop using those scent diffusers in your warehouse. As for the crumpling, I will have to pull out my hand-held steamer to get all those creases out of the felt backing. It could have been packaged a lot better. But all in all, a very satisfying purchase and a good value for the money.

I bought the IFOYO Dog Snuffle Mat for use with my mini pig to give him more opportunities to root while indoors. He gets so excited when I bring it out. I hide cheerios in it and he loves looking for them. It is strong and well made. I have even thrown it in the washer and dryer and it still looks like new.

I got this for my 5 month old german shepherd puppy. i would say the large is a good size for a dog around 30 pounds. i wanted her to eat slower, and this works great for that purpose. plus, it's SO CUTE.however, i have a couple problems with this and probably would not order again. it is VERY easy to tear, so you need to watch your dog carefully if they get frustrated easily. another feature i don't like is that it's very light. this can be fixed by setting chairs or other furniture on the corners.

Tried it out as soon as it arrived yesterday. Our 8lb Chihuahua rescue is very cautious of new items he can't immediately pick up & run around with BUT he has a terrific nose so I cut up his favorite chicken treat strip & scattered the bits throughout the mat. He approached it warily but his sniffer told him treats were present so he continued to go back. It took a while for him to find all the snacks (which is the POINT!) & I enjoyed watching him problem solve. So much more fun than just handing him a treat; keeps him engaged & thinking. Just be sure to put it away as soon as all treats are gone because an aggressive chewer like ours will tear this apart easily.

Was really surprised at the sturdiness of the felt on this mat. I have a very exuberant staffie (he's 12 and still acts like he's 2)... he absolutely loves his mat. One of the only toys he HAS NOT destroyed within 5 minutes of getting to play with. He destroys every fabric toy he gets. He has shuffled (played) with his mat around 30 times since Christmas Day and has only just put a small tooth hole in one of the pieces of fabric. So for the price in my opinion - well worth it.Only rated a 3 for "easy to clean" section as so far have only hovered it over (with the brush tool) and have not washed it yet. I am scared that washing it will ruin the felt.

I'm impressed with this snuffle mat. We've had it a while now, its good quality, lovely looking, easy to store, easy to hide treats in, keeps my staffy dog interested and calm, its been through the wash several times without any deterioration and it air dries quickly. I always supervise and put the mat away when we're finished, but the mats good enough quality to cope with being pulled around and chewed on under supervision without falling apart. I highly recommend it and would buy again.

Great product, it’s one of those things you always think I could make that but would never find the time to do it. My dogs love it but you need to supervise them or the mat may get eaten. I would not consider this suitable for bigger dogs but my three small dogs easily use it and love snuffling for food. I use it with other novelty feeders (Kong weeble and ball feeders) to make feeding time interesting and dogs like to sniff food out.

The media could not be loaded.  This is brilliant! My small dog needs a lot of stimulation. I run him in the morning. Then go to work and when hubby gets up about midday (works nights) he puts a few little treats in this and Bandit is occupied for a good 20 minutes.We bought the large but it’s still medium looking.

This is a great hit with our two boys! They love it. i set it all out while they are in another room and then I let them in and they just go mad sniffing and searching - ha ha! They manage to find them in about 5-8 min, which mean it doesn't last long, but it's great to watch their little wagging tails as they search for the food/treats. The good thing is, if you hide kibble in it, it means they are not getting too many treats, just heir normal food. they still get excited, as its the thrill of foraging and finding hidden food like they would if they lived in the wild. Great stuff!
