I really like this pendant. When you press the large button it connects you directly with 911. I did test it and it worked. When I talked to the operator to ask if they could tell the location,they did have the approximate location. I live in an apartment complex, so they didn’t know what number I’m in. Basically it’s still important to give your exact address if at all possible. It has fall detection, which works! The pendant fell off my nightstand and before I could pick it up and cancel the alarm it called 911. It’s pretty lightweight so I wear it on the lanyard. I like that it goes directly to 911 and not a call center. For a true emergency seconds count so why waste time with a call center!! And this has no fees of any kind!! I feel a lot safer wearing it. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts for about 6 days. There is a green light on the side of the unit that flashes, that shows you have a cell signal. A red light comes on when it needs to be charged. I’ve had other similar pendants that didn’t seem reliable , but so far this works great!

I was excited to receive this, charged it and tested it immediately,as directions suggested, and it worked. That's the last good thing I could say. It's bulky to wear under clothing. I bent down to feed my dog and the button hit my loose pajama top and called 911. It has two little LED's on the side that are indicators of charge and cell connection. Button blinks all the time. If you wear it outside your clothes, you glow like a Christmas tree. The darn thing works TOO well to be practical. When I was trying to box it up to return it, I inadvertently touched the SOS button and called 911. The button doesn't have to be pressed to work, it just has to rub lightly against something. I fear that on its way back to Amazon, it will call 911 a dozen times. I guess I'm glad it works, but this is ridiculously sensitive and a nuisance so not practical unless you want to be constantly apologizing to 911 for annoying them unnecessarily.

It works well but I need a replacement charger and I'm not getting anywhere on the amazon site.

I am an active 87 year old-live alone, garden, drive, etc. My home is pre-war solid brick in a densely treed area, which creates problems for all WiFi. Before this unit, I had a monitored service with a 30$ monthly fee. The reps were unable to answer any of my questions When I purchased this alert, I had problems with it notifying 911. The rep always returned my calls, answered all my questions, sent several external antennas and then a new unit. I test it monthly at home, inside and out, and in my car. It works every time, everywhere. It is sensitive to movements that jolt it. My police department has my house key, so EMS can enter if I fall at home alone. I love my SkyAngel! Look forward to an improved version with GPS.

This device does not have as good a coverage as my cell phone does. It never did connect, even when I had 3 bars indicated on my phone. It may be that this device uses the old 2g bands that are being phased out by the cell providers, and those bands are not as available in my area. I wished it would have worked as advertised as it would have provided peace of mind for my aging mother-in-law.I must say that the vendor did promptly refund the purchase price (as advertised). Again, I wish that this product was a bit more robust when it comes to which cell phone signals that it can receive. The concept is great, the execution is lacking in my area (Central Vermont). Other areas may work great. I guess you just have to try it to see. Good luck!
