Rockport Men's Essential Details Water Proof Chukka Boot

I just recieved my third pair of Rockport Dress Chukka Boots. I tell everyone how much I love them. Peltz Shoes Store has earned my trust. I will be ordering two more pairs from them. Thank You Peltz Shoes!

I like three things about the shoe immediately. First, they fit my feet and required a little breaking. Second, they were easy to shine. I purchase them to wear with my Army dress blue uniform. Third, they are very versatile. One day I wore them with my Army dress blue uniform, the next I wore them with black slacks and a sportcoat to a business casual meeting. I’d also like to add, these are very comfortable shoes to wear.

I have a friend and neighbor that has been in the ICU at the hospital for almost three weeks and not doing good. There was a few days the doctors thought he was a goner, but he pulled through a bit. Anyway, for the chance I might have to go to a funeral, I had to get some dress shoes! With short, but wide feet it is not easy finding shoes my size in the town I live in. Found these Rockport shoes and they fit well and look good, just have them now just in case I need to wear them!

Bought these boots so I can deal with the rain and slush while walking around the city and going to work. Needed something somewhat dressy that could go with my office attire. I would have liked the boot to be a little more dressy but they are versatile. They look halfway between a casual shoe and a true dress shoe so they go okay with jeans or khakis. You could stretch them to go with a suit in a pinch but they're not that stylish.Pros:- Fairly comfortable- Does seem to be waterproof so far based on my month of wear- Nonslip sole. I see another review mentioned that the tread wore out really quick. I don't see any significant wear so far.Cons- As mentioned in other reviews, the laces are really slippery so I wind up having to double knot my laces

These Rockport model has everything going for it - style, color, craftsmanship, comfort straight out of the box, good materials (nice leather uppers, flexible rubber sole, & Adidas heel), durability (from the looks of it & as sworn to by a friend) - except that its' sized too big. I had a Dressport more than 20 years ago & they were comfortable, durable, & stylish but also large for the size. This model is more than a size too large. I usually wear a size 9D. I already ordered 8.5D for this model but I'm returning these & ordering 7.5D. I wore the 8.5D with a lot of walking for a day; these shoes were comfortable, showed no wear on the soles & no creases or lines on the soft leather uppers. My only complaint is the size. Amazon is nice enough to accept the exchange for the same discounted price.I'll be updating this review when I get the new order & hopefully the right size & fit.

These fit well, a little hard to get on but as the leather loosens I don't thin it will be a problem. Only knock is that they look a little too much like cow boy boots from the top. Otherwise good support, fit well. Love that they are waterproof, I'm sure they'll be tested soon.

These shoes fit well and are comfortable. The leather is thick and resists creasing. My biggest complaint is that they are certainly not water proof. I work in a Butcher shop and get water on my feet from washing floors or dishes. I am never standing in puddles only getting over spray from a hose or sink water running down my apron onto the tops of the shoes. It really stinks to find out that my insoles are getting soaked around the ball of my foot on each (not just one) shoe. Too late to return now after wearing to work. I haves to remove the insole after each use and put powder inside to keep the smell and water in check. I visually inspected the shoes and have found no holes or weak seams. It is a mystery how water gets in. It almost seems to slowly be absorbed via the leather. The top of my socks and all around the ankle is dry so water isn't getting in via the tongue or laces. My husband needed these shoes for his JANITORIAL business. They have good sole "bottoms" that work for that type of environment. He has worn other Rockport casual shoes in the past and they were very comfortable---so we were in the market to transition from his current work shoes (Birkenstock Footprints style) because it was discontinued and the cost for a new Birkenstock replacement was in the $200 range. This shoe is very well made...one shoe was a little bit tight on one side in the little toe area but other than that they are great shoes for us and the price is right as well. Time will tell how well this shoe really works for us in the work environment, we may just need "wearing" time to stretch in the little toe area.

Easy to wear almost without breaking in. I think I wore them around the house for a day and then wore the for the whole day at work. No issues, no pinching. I will buy them again.

So nice to find these is extra wide, they are so comfortable

I have a wide forefoot and find it hard to find a pair of shoes that fit comfortably all day. Bought these in extra wide fit and they fit the bill perfectly. Very comfortable and go well with smart casual and a suit too.
