Cool Castles: Lego™ Models You Can Build (Sean Kenney's Cool Creations) Hardcover – October 30, 2012

The book is in very good condition with one big exception. One page is ripped almost completely out of the book. Another page has a small tear, 11/2in, but can easily be tapped.

Hi. I was so very excited to get this book for my son. Sadly when it arrived, i was a little dissapointed. While the binding is nice, the content is a little, well, young? I know that sounds silly, it's a book about LEGO's after all. But, i was expecting a book that was a little more technical. This is not that. The only reason why i kept it is because i have 3 boys ranging from 10 to 4....figuring they would all get something different out of it. I bought it for my 10 year old who is much more advanced than this book at LEGO building. I did a lot of research on Sean Kenney before purchasing this book. I had high hopes.

What a great idea! - and it has sparked my son's imagination with things to do with his mountain of lego bricks that used to be part of sets that have long been pulled apart and cast into the lego bin.

nice ideas but a bit short. I was hoping for a few more pages for the price.

It's a llittle had for my Grandkids but I'm sure they will enjoy it anyway.

This book is cute and has great photos. I bought it looking for ideas to build my own castle but it didn't have very many photos of actual castles. Great kids book anyway!

I bought this book for my grandson. He loves playing & building with his legos! He also love the books to give him ideas on what to build.

While it has a great cover that inspires thoughts of building for hours, once you get into the content, you find it totally lacking. There are no broken down instructions for the few examples of castles you can try to recreate... not much content... should be skipped.....

It doesn't show how to build a castle, not even one, and that is what the buyers are looking for

I ordered these with the elementary boys in mind. Their love of Lego and creating strutures will make this book a delight to look and and the plans will help them with their creations

Dies ist ein schönes Buch, um einige interessante Bautechniken zu lernen, die das Burgenbauen betreffen. Viele Bilder geben Anregungen zum eigenen Burgenbau. Einige Elemente sind auch als komplette Bauanleitungen enthalten (so zum Beispiel ein schöner Thron, ein Katapult und ein kleiner Drache), manchmal gibt es nur kurze Baudetail-Instruktionen z.B. für einen runden Turm mit Außentreppe oder auch für die Fassade eines Fachwerkhauses. Es gibt sogar einen kurzweiligen Ausflug in den Mini-Burgenbau (Mini-Maßstab). Ich habe alle Seiten des Buches verschlungen, leider sind es nur 32, was mir allerdings vor dem Kauf bekannt war (steht in der Amazon-Beschreibung). Dennoch habe ich wegen des Umfangs einen Punkt abgezogen. Ich hätte lieber ein mindestens doppelt so dickes Buch gehabt, dass dafür weniger glanzvolles Papier verwendet. Schade, denn man merkt, dass der Autor des Buches etwas vom Fach versteht, merkt aber auch, dass für dieses Thema viel mehr Platz angebracht wäre.Fazit: Gut, aber viel zu kurz.

This book is entitled "Cool Castles" so, being interested in Lego, and Castles, I bought it thinking the book would be fully devoted to (wait for it) Lego Castles. But, this was a big mistake. Instead of being 100% choc-full of impressive Lego Castles for me to aspire to building myself, the book shows a single castle that an 11 year old could build in an afternoon - plus an even simpler castle further in the book. The remainder of the book's contents cover medieval type furniture, market stalls, farm animals, a few basic civilian buildings, a silly dragon and various farm accessories. I feel the book has been a complete waste of my money.

Nice book for beginner castle builders with some useful tips even for veterans, but it is too short to be considered a proper book.
