Complete Compact Spare Tire Kit - Fits 2017-2025 Tesla Model 3 - Modern Spare

I recently purchased this Modern Spare tire for my Tesla Model 3 and have been very pleased with it. The tire is well-made, compact and fits perfectly in the trunk well without sacrificing much storage space.It gives me great peace of mind knowing I have a spare in case of a flat tire, since the Model 3 doesn't come with one from the factory. The tire looks nice and seems durable.While I hope to never need it, this Modern Spare is an excellent addition to my Model 3 that I'd recommend to any owner. The price is reasonable for the quality and convenience. 5 stars and two thumbs up from me! A must-have accessory if you drive a Tesla​​ without run-flat tires.

I just did a test fit in my flat, clean, well lighted garage. And got my exercise. BUT if I were stranded somewhere, this would be a lifesaver even though would take quite a while to put on during a rainy night.as would any spare tire. Similarly, there are lots of little parts to loose (lug nuts, socket). I did not need to use a puck. The jack has a pad on it. The package is very high quality and beautifully machined, polished, and fitted. What finally sold me were the dimensions. The Amazon site shows approximately 10 inches above and beside the stored tire. Guess what? A full size suitcase fits above the tire and beside it. So yes, it LOOKS like it takes up a lot of room ( and it does) but it’s really not so bad. Five stars.

I was very pleased with the quality of the Modern Spare tire for the Tesla Model 3. The complete kit contains everything needed to change the tire. I now feel prepared for a short or long trip.

A Continental tire of apparent good quality. Well designed kit with functional carrying case. To good points not in the description: It does include the separate lifting pad for the jack that fits into the hole at the four lifting points on the Tesla Model 3. Case has a couple of strips of velcro on the bottom to keep it from sliding around in the trunk; as the Tesla accessory cases do. Happy with purchase. Hope I never use it.

First the complaints: I would feel better if the jack was more heavy-duty. Tesla batteries are HEAVY.The instructions are an unorganized mess. They repeat some info over & over in different spots. I can tell that they started with instructions for one kind of car, and adapted them for other cars, over & over again. Instructions like that are not what you want to plow through when you're on the side of the road (especially if it is dark and/or rainy). I copied the info, warnings, & diagrams, into Word and condensed it from 4 pages to 1.5 pages - but it took a long time. They should have done that to save all of us reading time.Now the complements: It is very nice that the outside diameter of the tire is close to that of the OEM tires, and that the wheel saves room in the trunk by being narrower than the OEM wheels. The tire is a good brand too.As a test, I put the spare wheel on my car in the driveway, and drove around the block. It was a good fit (as soon as I used the correct 5 holes).The need for a spare: I have changed many flat tires over my lifetime and find it annoying that Tesla (& certain other car makers) don't think spare tires are important. If I get a flat, I don't want to wait 2 hours hoping the mechanic will show up soon, especially when I could change the tire myself in 10 minutes. When I can, I prefer to be self-reliant instead of depending on others.

I was very impressed with the appearance and the quality of all the components. I used straps to hang it in the trunk and there was still plenty of space for storage when taking a road trip.

Gives me total peace of mind. 15 minutes to pop this on and i'm back on the road, regardless of location and weather. HUGE relief, especially when hauling my kids around to events, competitions, etc. A flat could be disastrous if it kept us from getting to an important event on time.
