Easy once set up
I have had some of these for years and been happy with them to lock my suitcase for travel or a pocket of it when in hotel room if no safe/not using safe. They are easy to use and not too big and fit most zips I have tried - have travelled alot and never had any problems. I just bought 2 more on amazon and there were 2 challenges;1. the picture showed 2 locks but infact I only got one. I have reported this to amazon. 2 locks are double the price of one so check carefully when ordering that you are ordering what you think2. Setting up lock was fiddly - had to look at you tube as could not figure it out from instructions This is what I discovered that worked.- it is set to 000- move the lock 90 degrees anticlockwise (as in instruction photo- then hold lock between thumb and finger in left hand and push down quite hard...so it clicks just a little bit down (picture in instructions makes it look like it pushes much more down - its max 0.25cm and you have to hold it down whilst you set the new number.- then whilst it is pushed down, and you are holding it like that, change the numbers from 000 to whatever you want.- when new numbers set, release the push down and this will be the new combination- same procedure to change the numbers any timehope this helps!

Works well
A few months ago I bought two of these locks as I was travelling in and out of Manila's international airport. Needed combination locks on my hand luggage and bumbag (kept inside the hand luggage), just to really (ultra) secure a wallet containing cash from any dodgy security staff (plenty of reports about this) working that day, in the event my hand luggage got put aside for inspection. These locks work well. Both open and lock easily after changing the combination number.Note: Changing the combination lock is not hard, but I can see it becoming slightly fiddly for some and perhaps frustrating if an individual struggles with the mini guide supplied. If you do not already know how to change this type of multi-combination lock from Yale, it may be an idea to watch a quick video today on how to do this and then bookmark the video for when your Yale lock arrives for easy reference. This will prevent frustration and possibly, if it is possible, damaging the combination lock while trying to change the number.

Case padlock by Yale
Bought a new suitcase (soft and lightweight) but hadn't thought about the lack of a built in lock as it wasn't rigid. This Yale lock is perfect.

I could not get it to change the combination so only three stars

Not fit for purpose. Poor quality.
Too small to be of any use. Lock did not set to a code and wouldn't open. Very poor quality. Bought small case locks that need a key to open much better. Avoid. At least Amazon sorted out the refund very quickly.

Could be sturdier
Small and light but shackle thin and easily bent
