Best flashlight on Earth
Like most guys I have a lot of flashlights most of them very cheap, I decided to get a high quality one for my bug out bag. I looked at almost every flashlight on Amazon and read a ton of reviews, I saw hundreds if not thousands of reviews on SureFire flashlights, guys just going on and on about how great they were. I was skeptical and found it ridiculous paying $60-$100 for a flashlight but I finally pull the trigger and bought the G2X Pro Duel Output. Now I'm on board, this thing is awesome, its built like a tank. You can tell when you have it in your hand that it is built very well and they paid attention to detail. I like it so much I decided to make it my every day carry light and I bought a StreamLight as a backup light to carry in my bug out bag (the StreamLight takes AA and I have a solar battery charger). I also bought a 12 pack of cr123 SureFire batteries to put in my BOB for the G2X, on low setting the battery life is good so this will last a long time. While the StreamLight is a very good light and a little cheaper, I think it was well worth the money for the SureFire, going from high, low, strobe is much easier on the SureFire, it's brighter, better battery life, and overal feels much more durable. If a A-Bomb landed right on the SureFire I feel like it might survive, that's how tough it feels. It was well worth the money and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a well made high quality flashlight.

Bar none, the best EDC flashlight which I have owned so far!
What a great, well constructed and light flashlight!I own and have placed many emergency flashlights all over tin he house, in the garage and in our vehicles. Those are all your typical Costco flashlights which come 3 in a pack at various sizes. However, this has become my EDC or rather ENC (Every Night Carry) when I walk the dog late in the eves. It is tough, light and compact (I have inadvertently dropped it a couple of times and no damage whatsoever so far, but let's not make a habit of this clumsiness) Some folks (myself included) may initially find the claimed lumen light settings a bit on the low side but it really shows its prowess in the dark of the night. The high setting is just fantastic offering a wide radius for such a little flashlight, although it will consume through the batteries very quickly if always used at that setting. When Amazon dropped the price to sub $50 I ordered another one for a shotgun although the two click is not really ideal for a weapon. Let me add that I purchased the first one for about $60 on Amazon. They do also have a one setting tactical option which is perhaps a better fit for a shotgun but I haven't tried that one yet.Minor gripe which is not a deal breaker, I just wish that it had a lanyard hole but nothing is ever perfect. SureFire does offer a pouch for this at an extra $10 or so, or you can just make one or order a generic one.

Great light for the money. Very high quality and Made in USA.
Since this light is so well reviewed and detailed online and in other reviews I will focus on the questions I had prior to purchase but couldn't find answers and some of my experiences with the light that I didn't see elsewhere.1. Is 15 Lumens too low for regular use considering high is 360? - No, 15 lumens is great for average use. I have no issues with the low level being too low for my needs.2. Battery life an issue considering the high lumens? – I used the light on a week-long camping trip and primarily used the low setting but frequently used high for very short periods. The batteries are still solid. I bought a back-up set of batteries just in case, but haven’t needed them yet. Some of the things I noticed about the light that I haven’t seen elsewhere:The tail cap switch/button is not as positive as I would expect from Surefire. This was especially true when I was just using the push and hold for momentary light. I played with the spring under the cap a bit and it really improved the issue but it’s still not ideal. Often I end up with the high beam when I don't want it which can blind me when being used close up.The nitrolon body feels like aluminum. I was expecting a rubbery feel based on the description but the body is actually very hard and looks very much like the aluminum head. A nice surprise and alleviates any concerns I had about its future durability. My light has a very small piece of plastic or rubber sticking out of the gap between the head and body. I assume this is some sort of gasket that was displaced when the head was attached to the body. It’s barely noticeable and doesn’t seem to affect performance but clearly is not supposed to be that way and is probably a manufacturing defect. The retail packaging is a real pain to open. I know it helps prevent theft at point of sale and protects the product but I had to work way to hard to get the light out of the packaging.I am really pleased with the light and don’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Quality light
Great light if you don't want to pay premium for a rechargable battery.
