A worthwhile buy for sure
I teach my kids cursive first and foremost before print. It is easier to learn, more adaptable and functional for the right brain left brain transfer, provides better quality penmanship from the beginning and is proven to alleviate many stumbling blocks such as dyslexia and dysgraphia. Print / block lettering has been proven to be the most difficult and that most developing minds are unable to think, and write "block" until almost the age of 10. 7 children later and 24 yrs of hands experience has proven beyond my evidenced research, that cursive is instrumental to the developing brain and has more benefits than block lettering. So I chose these BECAUSE they provide a more cursive type of format. If a true cursive model came out it'd be widely saught after. And yes we googked every word these make and I learned a few myself!! Now if they were 100%,USA made & assembled, it'd be a show stopper hands down. Although the size seems small to some, I think it's perfect

2nd set of these, love them. Perfect for teaching silent vowel sounds.
We owned the basic set of 3 blocks and love using those. At the end of kindergarten my son was learning about silent vowels and these cubes are perfect for that. "The e makes the i say it's name." These are very nice quality, totally giftable, and I love that I can carry them in my purse for car rides.

Great for early readers
Our son is kindergarten age and just started at a Montessori school this year. He loves both the 3-letter phonetic reading blocks and this set. This set is a bit smaller than the 3-letter set but both work great as an activity in the car, at restaurants, in a waiting room, etc. In the 3-letter set, you can spin each letter, therefore changing the beginning and/or end sound of each word. With these blocks, only the 'e' block spins from a blank block to an 'e' block which actually is better given the purpose is understanding how the silent 'e' at the end of word is silent but changes the vowel sound.

A great Montessori silent e teaching material
Well made, beautiful Montessori materials. Our children enjoy these very much. The cvc set is another favorite and if you find her other shop online, she has lovely 3pt cards for some of the words.

Excellent teaching tool
I teach first grade and purchased these for my classroom. I tried them at home with my 6 year old first and she loved using them to build words using long vowels with a silent e. I would recommend these to use in a school or home setting.

First three letters are one block with silent e the only independent moving block.
Set was smaller than I thought they were going to be but still excellent value.

I was really disappointed in these
I was really disappointed in these. They're super tiny and the letters weren't spaced evenly. Seems to be poor quality, especially for this price point.

but are easy to read
These are smaller than I expected, but are easy to read, easy to use, feel ice in the had and really drive the point home about word families.
