Our we bbq
We first came across these Bbq's in Portugal from a supermarket there. Excellent for our balcony. No smoke, no flames. No mess. Found them on Amazon when we got home and now using them in England in our garden too. Highly recommended. X

the best disposable barbecue I have ever seen.
Easy to assemble. Ready to cook in 5 min. Safe to use . Doesn't burn 🔥 the ground underneath. Please see images

Dangerous and not fit for purpose
Dangerous and not fit for purpose. Within 5 mins of putting some meat on the grill the bamboo grill caught light, within 10 seconds the cardboard structure was on fire too. Perhaps to be expected from a bbq made almost exclusively from flammable materials. The fuel is clever and lights really well and ready to cook on in minutes but no good if not put in a safe structure.

Thumbs up
I was looking for a rack or support to take a disposable bbq to the beach, something that would lift it off the floor, when I came across this.It looked to be just what I was after! The bbq seemed fairly small but since I was planning to only cook a few sausages I thought I'd give it a try, and I was actually really pleased.Assembly was simple, and lighting was fiddly but straight forward. I had to slightly lift the coals to get the lighter underneath, once I saw a few wisps of smoke I placed the coal flat and moved onto the next one. I ended up lighting a coal in each corner and one in the middle, and all of them turned grey in about 5-8mins.Just about managed to squeeze 6 regular sized sausages and even 6 mini minced lamb kebabs on the rack, though they did need juggling around during cooking to ensure they were all evenly cooked through.Plenty of heat for what I needed, food was ready in about 20mins and with a lovely char.I was worried that the cardboard would catch or burn but no, the lava stone did its job and even soaked up the near litre of water that I used to extinguish the coals, and without a trace of soggy cardboard.Very impressed, and only marked down due to smaller size of grill space, but will 100% buy again.I will say I did not buy this online and got it for £5, which made it good value, probably wouldn't pay more than that.

No… just no.
Oh goody I thought as I bought this overpriced single use BBQ. Not only am I saving the planet (the shop offered no alternative) but these boasts of lasting over an hour should easily cook my sausages and bacon. What else can I do in the other remaining 30 minutes when it’s all done? Top it off with some mushrooms? Toast the bread or baps and melt some cheese onto them??Well after a relatively quick ignition of about 10 minutes, (as almost promised) the remaining ‘at least’ 50 minutes will be ample.35 minutes or so later, the sausages were finally browned over the eco-donut ‘coals’. None had been bunched (as warned in the instructions) over the reduced inner heat area under the grill, but fortunately I was still able to just about ‘squeeze’ the 6 sausages into the cooking area.Still enough time left for the bacon, we should have plenty of time to do that now. Forget the mushrooms and any toasting. The sausages were carefully positioned around the edge to stay warm, while the remaining coals covered by 4 pieces of bacon.Another 15 minutes later, we realised that the ‘coals’ were never going to get any hotter, so after the hour or so’s heat promised by this barbecue, I whipped together a sausage and raw bacon bap. It’s was a bit chewy (as that old Star Wars joke goes), but I was hungry enough to give it a go, and certainly won’t be buying one of these again. My advise? Buy one of those mini portable reusable ones for about £15. It may be made out of metal, but the one we have has lasted us about 50 times so far - sadly we just ran out of charcoal and this was the only solution available. Surely one of those is better for the environment than these overpriced useless things?Oh, and apologies for the lengthy review. I’m writing this while sat on the toilet with chronic diarrhoea after my uncooked breakfast.Kind of wish it had caught fire like some of the other reviews on here. At least the charred remains of the breakfast wouldn’t have left me with an equally raw bottom.

Ours burst into flames
It burst into flames when the fat from the burgers dripped down. We put it out with sea water. We couldn’t salvage our food. All in all, it was totally useless and dangerous.

It doesn't work
Just don't, I was fleeced £6.50 for this and it used £6.50 in lighters to get it going. Flimsy and unworkable, not a BBQ alternative sadly.
