Good Air Chuck needs different type clamp
This appears to be a good quality thumb lock air chuck. The latch lever works smoothly and the sealing bushing grabs the valve stem firmly without leaking. The hose barb is the correct size for repair of most portable air pumps, but the description is wrong for the hose size associated. The barb ridges measure about 1/4" so this is an easy press fit and is meant for a 3/16" id hose like comes on most portable air pumps. The spiral clamp is not a good solution and a better fit is an SAE #10 fuel injector line clamp for 9-11 mm. Here is a listing and picture of the type clamp that would be better to use and would have been better to include. HPS FIC-9x10 SAE #10 Stainless Steel Fuel Injection Hose Clamps, 3/64" - 7/16" (Pack of 10) It would be better to supply the definitely needed SAE #10 clamps, one each with the air chucks and adjust the price and save customers the trouble of a second task getting the correct SAE #10 clamp to use. So that detail and the hose size described incorrectly are the only issues I see. The air chucks themselves look good and test okay. My old Black & Decker Air Station is alive!
I have an old Black & Decker Air Station that was a pain to use since I had to use both hands to position and squeeze the worn out air chuck lever after turning on the unit. Within minutes, I replaced the old chuck with one of these and the Air Station is no longer a tool of frustration. The Lumiteco lever was hard to close on the first tire I inflated but loosened up a bit on the second tire. I'm sure it will get easier with each use but I like that these air chucks provide a very secure grip. Now I can operate the on/off switch and easily monitor the Air Station pressure gauge. Two chucks up!

Great replacement for the cheap plastic ones that come on so many 12 volt air pumps.
Had a nice little 12volt air compressor, but the manufacturer skimped on the chuck and used one with a cheap plastic handle that locks down on the valve stem. It snapped after just a couple of years, leaving me with a good air pump and no way to use it. Ordered these and cut the old one off the hose, stuck this on and tightened the supplied hose clamp. Voila!, the pump is better than when it was purchased. These are all metal, so I won't have to worry about a cheap plastic handle breaking again. The pump will die before this chuck will, & when it does, I'll take the chuck off and keep it for any future needs and toss the dead pump. An excellent choice when replacing el cheapo quality chucks.

great chuck, clamp too bulky
A LUMITECO lock-on chuck made a world of difference for my new tire pump. If I've inflated a tire to an exact pressure, I don't want to hear a hiss as I remove the chuck. The LUMITECO lever will fly open so fast that all I hear is a pop.The clamp was terrible. The screw was so hard to turn that I needed a socket. Then I found It was too bulky. It could get in the way.I pulled a cable tie as tight as I could. Then I used pliers to grab the tail close to the latch housing. I used a screwdriver to pry the pliers away from the housing. I repeated it a couple of times before clipping the tail. After a year of use, it's still quite tight.A few months later, a second pump needed repair. I was glad the second chuck was on hand. This time I used cord from a discarded venetian blind. I tied a double constrictor knot. (Websites have instructions.) I used two pairs of pliers to pull it tight. To be sure it wouldn't work loose, I applied cement and let it set before I clipped the ends.

These All Metal Air Chucks Are High Quality (compared to a few other brands I have which are not).
I needed to replace a similar chuck that was partly plastic and poorly made (too hard to close the lever and hard to get on and of). These Lumiteco chucks work perfectly out of the box. The metal lever inspires confidence that they will last a long while. I actually used this chuck to replace a "smart" head (both presta and schrader in one chuck). The smart chuck would let too much air out when putting it on and taking it off. This Lumiteco chuck is just for Schrader but that is just fine. I have found I prefer to have one pump for just schrader valves and one pump for just presta valves.I'd buy these Lumiteco chucks again; they are good quality.
