I have a temporary eye infection and needed a patch to protect my eye from the wind and dust when going outside, especially walking my dog. I ordered the black and liked that it came in a handy plastic snap container. I have an average size head and the patch fitted my eye socket with little adjustment needed. The construction of these types of patch masks seems such that the strap will undoubtedly shift and cross the opposite eyebrow, but I found the elastic soft and comfortable and unless you are jogging or doing vigorous exercise, it should hold up. The patch is soft and has basic 3-D contouring. The edges don't mark my face and don't irritate my eyelashes. I wear my sunglasses over it with no problem and even though I wear it outside in the warm sunshine, the patch did not get sweaty. Suits my needs and at this price-point, I recommend.

Best eye patch ever...it's adjustable!

After an eye injury I had pretty extreme light sensitivity and the eye patch the ophthalmologist gave me was scratchy and didn't form well so I still got light leakage. I bought these and they are very effective at providing full black-out in addition to being a very soft, comfortable fabric that didn't irritate my eyelids or the surrounding area at all, even while sweating. They are fairly large so might not be great for kids or people with smaller faces but for your average facial proportions they should do the trick.If you need an eye patch, this might be a really good option for you, they are certainly light years better than the drug store hard plastic units with the foam padding.

The straps need to be sewn on higher to the eye patch, closer to the top corners. The concave portion is deep enough to not rub on my eyelid and eye lashes which is positive. It has good coverage around my eye to block the light out. But the straps are too wide and sit too low on my head, sitting right on top of my opposite eyebrow and then cutting into the top of my ear on the other side next to the eye being covered which is very uncomfortable. If I move the straps higher, the eye patch doesn't stay in place and keeps sliding up and not covering my eye.

On 4/20/2023, without realizing it, I felt the first symptoms of Bell's Palsy . . . a strange taste sensation in my mouth. The next day, my wife noticed that my right eye was not blinking as often as the left. By midnight that day, I was barely able to close my right eye, and then only with extra effort. I know a few folks who have had it, and I began searching the Internet for a list of Bell's Palsy symptoms. I discovered that I had at least four or five of the most common ones. The next morning I went to the ER for confirmation of what I believed I now had, and a few hours later, I knew that I was experiencing the disorder.I also knew that it would be critical to protect my eye during the recovery period and I found these eye patches. They are absolutly excellent! Well-constrcted, they are delivered in a sturdy plastic case. The eye covering is smooth across the front, but the interior is cupped to avoid putting pressure directly on the eye. The band that goes around the head is elastic with a hook-and-loop closure for custom fitting. These are too big for a small child, but should be adjustable enough to fit almost anyone over age 12 or 13.Initially, it took about 30-60 minutes for your eyelashes to stop sensing the presence of the patch. But now that I've worn mine for some 36 hours continuously, the "strange sensation" comes from taking it off, for example, to instill some lubricating eye drops or to bathe. Once back on, in a few minutes, you hardly realize you're wearing it. Again, I am very happy with this purchase, and you will be too.The hardest part of wearing any eyepatch, however, is learning to deal with the loss of depth perception. It's going to take a number of days to truly learn to cope with that. In the accompanying selfie photo, the patch is actually covering my right eye (you can see how the corner of my mouth has been affected by the light paralysis).

Purchased after cataract surgery. The eye cover provided by the eye center was hard and uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult. This was a better fit for my eye and face shape. It has a hard cover with a gap to allow for eyelashes and did not press hard against the area around eye. The strap is adjustable and did drop down over my eye while sleeping but was not uncomfortable. I was able to wear reading glasses easily over the patch. Highly recommend. Felt like a pirate🏴‍☠️
