Comforting Cleanser
This cleanser feels soft and comforting while applying. I wet my face first, apply one or two pumps, and it foams nicely. It rinses off well, although I wipe with a washcloth once at the end just to make sure my makeup is off. I wear concealer and powder, and this gets everything off well. I For eye makeup, I use a remover first before using the cleanser. However, I once skipped the eye makeup remover and this cleanser took off all but the slightest amount of my waterproof mascara, so that's pretty thorough.I like this because I have slightly oily skin, am 67years old and using retinol and niacin. This counters the drying effect I experience with the retinol and niacin. I find myself using only this cleanser morning and night because it works well and my face feels fresh but not dry. I do use my usual moisturizer afterward.

Paraben & Dye-Free Cream Cleanser
I like that this cleanser comes in two sizes-the big 16 oz. size which lasts quite awhile and an 8 oz. size that is good for travel, like road trips and overnight stays (it is easier to pack than the large size). If you are new to this cleanser you might consider purchasing the 8 oz size until you know how your skin will respond, tolerate the cleanser or react. Should the cleanser work out you can always purchase a larger size later. This is a white creamy lotion type cleanser. It states foaming cream cleanser on the bottle but foaming is left to interpretation. It isn't a real sudsy type lather more like a creamy emulsion that covers the skin. It contains glycerin and aloe that are supposed to help hydrate. I still use some type of moisturizer after cleansing. Of course it is entirely up to you what to use after cleansing-different skin types have different needs or requirements. As for makeup removal I prefer to use micellar water or a makeup tissue to remove most of my makeup (when I wear it) prior to cleansing, so the cleanser doesn't have so much makeup to break down. By removing most of my makeup first the cleanser can get to my skin better and remove pore clogging debris better--plus I don't have a gunky layer of cleanser and dissolving makeup on my face. It doesn't remove long wearing transfer resistant lipstick that well-I use vaseline or cold cream and smear on my lips then remove with a tissue prior to cleansing. I have older, mature skin and this cleaner is suggested for dry to normal skin and I have had no difficulty using it, although rate of response, sensitivities and reactions can vary from person to person. You have to be the judge of that. It states it is fragrance-free and I am sensitive to smells as I have nasal allergies/rhinitis, it smells rather bland/neutral. I asked my husband for his take on the smell and he responded, "not much." For me it is an economical way to keep my face clean and is paraben and dye-free.

This cleanser is my absolute FAVORITE! A staple in my skincare routine
I have combination, super oily but also dry skin with retinol use, textured, large pores, and acne prone. Over the years, I have tried tons of different cleansers for my complicated skin and this is by far one of my favorites for daily/nightly use!Cetaphil is a trusted brand name, recommended by my dermatologist. After starting retinol, I needed a cleanser without harsh ingredients that doesn't exacerbate the dryness effect of retinol. This cleanser is a great price, in a BIG bottle that lasts a long time, the pump allows for quick/easy access and can lock for mess-free travel, helps hydrate my skin while cleansing, leaves my skin super clean/soft/matte without drying or stripping my natural oils, doesn't exacerbate my naturally oily skin, doesn't give me breakouts, and has a nice light clean scent. It foams too which I love (I know foam cleansers aren't the best, but my skin just doesn't feel clean without them!).I use this every morning and night, and have repurchased it many times. After trying so many different cleansers, this is by far my FAVORITE! I do have a different stronger salicylic acid cleanser that I use when I have breakouts, but I haven't needed it for months because my skincare routine has been working so well!If you are looking for a simple cleanser that gives great results, I HIGHLY recommend buying this one! It has been working so well for me, and I am very picky about my skincare products.Hope this helps!

Perfect mix between a cream & gel cleanser!
Probably the best drugstore cleanser I’ve ever used for my dehydrated acne prone skin! It cleans really well but also leaves your skin softer than it was before you used it. Sorcery lol but for real, it’s great! Perfect mix between a cream & gel cleanser consistency wise. Starts out creamy and then lightly lathers as you wash your face. No burning of the eyes and it doesn’t leave you with a tight skin feeling. Just try it!

Great face wash!
My face feels so clean after I use this and it is very hydrating and gentle. It has helped with the dryness of my skin from Accutane. Great face wash!

Cetaphil Foam face wash.
My God, this is the face wash! I’ve been using it for over two years, and I’m telling you—it really gets deep into my pores and cleans out all the dirt and buildup. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, soft, and super clean without any irritation. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you have sensitive skin. It’s a great face wash, no doubt about it!

Soft Smooth Skin
I love Cetafil! I have been using it exclusively for about the last 40 years. Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Truth is that I succumbed to clever marketing of other products a time or two but ALWAYS returned to Cetafil. I wash my face with it every morning and night. It may take two washings to remove stubborn makeup but it still leaves my skin feeling soft and perfect-not too oily and not too dry. It’s wonderful for children. I bathed my three children with it and it never irritated their eyes making bathtime more pleasant. I absolutely recommend it to friends, family, and people I work with. It’s a great product. Don’t ever change it!
