Once set up on the SumUp system, my theatre has been able to use this to take electronic payments.The device itself is really easy to use. We had tried to use another card reader for our theatre that was supplied by our bank, but that was a real headache.This one, however, just works smoothly and well.The only fiddly bit was the onboarding process with SumUp - they needed to conduct their due diligence re our business (re money laundering I assume), so needed to see more details of our company (incl. Companies House and Charities Commission pages and some basic financial info), and also wanted to know details of the purposes for which we would use the card reader. All reasonable...just took a little time to do.

Simple to set up & easy to use, great product.

If you are someone who sells at Craft Fairs, Antique Fairs, Markets or even Car boots, you’ll need one of these.The Sum Up is a card payment machine that is so easy to use and set up.This model requires a mobile phone, you download the Sum up app to the mobile, this will then pair with you machine, there is a little bit of info you’ll need to provide, such as bank details for the money to be sent to.Once set up taking payment is so easy, open the app, enter the amount and you can either use contactless or there is a card slot, it’s as simple as that.You’ll need a mobile data or wifi for it to work.I’ve used one of these for a few years now and it’s brilliant, very low costs, and a great way to accept car payment.Get one, you won’t regret it.

Easy to set up and use.Small enough to carry aroundOnce details are entered though it can't be changed. Customer support hasn't come back to me yet. There was no warning before and this ifo is printed on the receipts. So make sure you put the address and details on that you are happy to have displayed on the receipt.

We bought this when we had an art exhibition at home, hoping to be able to offer a card reader rather than cash if they wished to purchase anything.It was a bit tricky to set up but once we linked it with our bank account it worked well. We didn’t try giving a receipt but gave a hand written one instead.

Easy to set up and useRun a football team and was losing so much money with the old 'i have no cash'Gate income has doubled since getting.. as well as charity events!That small investment goes a long way so if you are in 2 minds then defo get one!
