I'm not a crafty person at all. I'm terrible when it comes to any type of arts and crafts. When I tell you that i can't even draw stick figures, I'm not exaggerating. I'm THAT bad.I was looking for some fun crafts to do with my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. This was a bit above her age level but I got it anyway. And she was fine with it. She had NO problem at all! We had a wonderful time painting our butterfly magnets a variety of colors and later (after they dried) decorating them with stickers that were included. It may sound odd, but the paintbrush was the perfect size for my granddaughter's small hands. The paint (included) colors were so bright and perfect for butterflies! She was so VERY proud of her artwork and had fun handing out her magnets to family members. We had fun and WILL be doing this again in the near future! I can't wait for our next crafts day!

ANYTHING from Melissa and Doug is superb quality, age appropriate, and fun! This activity is no exception.I purchased this for my granddaughters who are really into princesses. This kept them occupied and busy for almost an hour. They could even do it with little help from me. I was able to drink a warm cup of coffee.Thank you Melissa & Doug!!! Pure Magic

I like the concept, but if I could change one thing I would have made the butterflies a little larger. We have not yet sat down to do this art project (we just got it today) but it looks very cute. It’s an inexpensive craft to help keep busy during the new normal that is life in quarantine in New Jersey. I feel bad that my daughter had the second half of her first and only year in daycare/prek taken away. She was loving it! I want to have being at home be as fun as it can be. Next year hopefully all will be well and she will go to kindergarten. Anywho... back to the craft. It’s cute, not too expensive, come with sparkly gems, paint etc. as always I wish they included multiple brushes in these little kits but luckily I have allot of extra brushes at home. She is going to love making these. After, I can spray them with a sealant to protect them and place them in the garden. It’s a nice little kit for the cost. Definitely look around because you may find it even cheaper but since Home-goods TJ and Marshals are closed this is probably your best bet and the easiest way to get this craft.One additional thing I will mention is that it actually arrived faster than I thought it would. I ordered it a week ago (if that) and it got here really quick. Happy Crafting :) & of course Stay Safe <3

Granddaughter is 2 she had funny painting them

This was so cute. Very appropriate for a 5 year old.

Great value. I did this craft with a 5 year old and she loved it, but I also enjoyed painting my butterfly. And the fact that it's made out of wood adds a good feel to it. It was a bit of challenge for her , but that made it even better (and can add the jewels also) I've seen reviews about paint staining clothes - but we have 'painting' shirts for crafts, so makes no difference. Magnet actually sticks to the fridge and colors are nice, and can add a little of your own white to make the purple more pastel too.

These are FANTASTIC!! I was looking for some fun crafts for my 4 year old to do and came across these. They're super cute and easy for her to paint and decorate on her own with not much supervision. My husband hung them on her return air vent in her room and they stick really well! The paints were vibrant. The butterflies were cut very well - no issues.
