Works reliably, flexible options, great peace of mind
Works well, exactly as promised, and is so much better than the cheap alternative we tried before this. Those didn't even make it through shipping without damages. Many options for display and it's a sturdy piece with plenty of cord length for the plug. Easy to read; we placed it near the television for maximum awareness.

Multiple uses
Update the seller reached out and rectified the issue. It is great thank you for coming with great support. I’ve had this clock for a year and it is used for multiple alarms , you can set different days of the week with multiple alarms per day. Great for scheduling, remote work, taking vitamins/pills and setting reminders. The only thing I feel would make this product perfect was if it had touch screen so it would be easier for older people to use, other than that it is great. After a year of having it I came to an issue, although I set it on the dot with my phone, it keeps on being too slow and not the exact time.

Provides all the information my 98 yr old mother needs
I purchased this for my 98 yr old mother. She, all in all, really likes it. She wishes the volume of the alarm was greater; she doesn't wear her hearing aids to bed so had difficulty hearing the alarm. It also "speaks" as times during the day. Since the clock is next to her bed she's not near it was it says anything thus she's not sure what it's saying and I can't figure out how to turn off these announcements.

I’m happy we invested in the premium option
We heard about this brand from one of the nurses at mother’s assisted living facility, so I looked it up and when I saw that it was more expensive than other clocks I did some research on why it costs more and ultimately decided to buy it because of the following benefits (some turned out to be critical):Adjusts automatically for Daylight Saving Time - I didn’t want mother to have to fidget with the buttons twice every year needing to change the time, or even worse, experience confusion and not knowing that the world around her has changed the clock, and this day clock is the only one that I found that automatically adjusts for DST. The peace of mind with this feature already made it worth it for me.Battery backup - Other day clocks seemed to have an issue where the time and date would be reset if the clock was unplugged, which would be a big issue for mama as she would almost certainly unplug it often, and I don’t want to have to rely on the nurses at the assisted living to constantly adjust it (as kind as the staff truly are! I also didn’t want to put that extra burden on them). The fact that this clock saves the time and date is critical.Nap button - Mama often complains about light when she naps, and this clock comes with a pretty nifty feature of a ‘nap button’ on the side of the clock dedicated to dimming the screen, which gave me peace of mind that the staff would be able to easily turn off the light coming from the screen when they get mama ready for her nap, as they wouldn’t otherwise do it if it meant having to go into the settings every time.Birthday reminders with pictures - I found this to be really beneficial for mama as she now has pictures of family members come up on her clock whenever there’s a birthday, and I also set it up for holidays. Seeing the smile that this brings to mama’s face is priceless.Talking clock - This feature turned out to be quite handy as mama can press a button on top of the clock and hear the time and day without needing to find her glasses. Those are the pros. The only con is the price, but I guess like most things in life you get what you pay for, and for me it was worth it to invest a bit extra and get the above benefits as my mama really relies on this product every single day, we spend so much on her care we might as well spend a little bit more on the one product that she actually uses a lot throughout the day.

A Little Clunky to Set Up, but GREAT for my folks!
This is the second clock we've bought for dementia assistance. The first was for my grandmother, and this one if for my dad. This version has definitely improved on the first model (and I don't remember the name of that one).Things I liked about this:1. Extremely easy to read - the display options were great to allow us to tailor the messaging that was best for my dad.2. Could be set on a table, instead of hung on the wall. Fiddling with the "off" switch for the alarm can be a bit frustrating, so that might be inconvenient (and lead to dropped clocks) if mounted to the wall. Some of them don't have the ability to stand upright, but this one does. My grandmother pulled hers off of the wall just trying to read it.3. Alarms are really, really helpful because they flash specific information. My grandmother didn't need that - she was past that point - but my dad was looking for a bit more control. Setting custom alarms for him, and being able to add specific directions that made sense to him, was exactly what he needed.4. Different sounds for different alarms. Since my dad wanted some daily alarms (take your meds!) and some weekly alarms (put out the garbage!) it was really nice to be able to set different kinds of sounds. He likes to joke that the level of annoyance he feels for the rooster that tells him its time to take out the trash has somehow prompted him to remember it each week JUST TO AVOID HAVING TO HEAR IT!Criticisms1. We really liked the idea of adding pictures, but that only worked a few of the times we tried to add them. It's a clunky process to transfer files to an SD card, and then upload the correct file. It simply didn't work. But this was a "nice to have" not a "need to have."2. While the set up was easy on some respects, it was so simplified that it was almost hard to do. I can't really blame the company for making this easy enough for the less technologically adept, but I nearly had to crawl out of y skin because of the tedious, time-consuming way to enter the information. My kingdom for a quick connection to a laptop for transferring files or typing instructions! All in all, those were minor annoyances, and it does what it is supposed to do, in the way it's supposed to do it. It's made a world of difference for my dad *AND* my mom.
