Zoo Med AvianSun Deluxe Floor Lamp(Bulb not Included)

Love this lamp, anyone saying it is to short is wrong, perfect height for my 6 ft bird cage.And the base is very sturdy , metal not plastic .Would recommed this lamp highley !!!!

So I saw some bad reviews on this and was skeptical, but upon receiving mine I was happy. It has a nice round sturdy base, it’s nice and heavy enough to hold the lamp up with ease. The neck turns super smoothly in many directions. You can also spin the plastic that covers the bulb which I think is helpful. The box says new and improved and that is is. Definitely recommend even for the price. It doesn’t come with a bulb as stated. So yo will have to purchase one. I ordered both things together and got here at the same time

Perfect size and length and very well-made.

When assembling, it's very simple. Other than there was no instructions pertaining to the cord. It was too long at first and so I couldn't screw the peices into eachother. I finally figured out that I could gently pull the cord from the bottom area to reduce the slack that was impeding my assembly. It was a bit of a struggle by myself because of this. And I hope the bit of chafing of the cord is a non issue in the future.OTHER than that, this product is sturdy, it's easy to adjust and move around. The reflective light bulb encasement is awesome at putting the light where you want it, and not where you don't.

I wish I bought this lamp a long time ago. Since I turned it on, My budgies started spending most of the time on the sunny side of the cage now, happily singing and playing with toys. They seem a lot more happy!!

Perfect for my macaw while he is on his perch. Simple to assemble and use.

Amazing light! My parrot broke off the button and lost it so I have to buy a new one since it broke off in the off position. He also took end off, he is an Amazon bird so he can be destructive. He’s currently eating a wooden picture frame that’s hanging on my wall.Anyways love this lamp. Make sure you get the right bulb or it’s pointless!

To those who wrote bad reviews concerning this product not being able to hold its own weight of the light bulb. This is truly unfounded, as anyone with any minor mechanical know how to read instructions, each articulation point has a little knob that you tighten in order to lock the arm into position. That way the light bulb will not pull the unit out of position. If one reads the directions, then one gains this knowledge. Also, a quick inspection of the whole unit by those of us that have a greater understanding of basic stuff like this will grasp this concept with greater speed.I have had nothing but success with this light. It has been adjusted it into many different positions with great success. While the other reviews are correct, the upper portion of this lamp is plastic, it does its job very well and is aesthetically pleasing in most decor. My plants, conures and cockatoos all agree too that this is a great product. Coupled with an outlet timer, this works even better. I set my timer to turn it on just after sunrise and turn off around 8pm. This works great, as it gives maximum UV light time to all my animals and plants in the bird room. I will be getting another unit real soon to put in the main living space where the birds spend a lot of time on the weekends, so I don't have to continuously move the lamp from room to room.One must be keenly aware however. this unit DOES NOT come with a bulb. You will have to purchase this separately, and can in some cases cost just as much as the lamp itself so beware. Aside from the added nuisance of the bulb, this is a five star product and will gladly recommend this lamp to anyone looking for such a product.
