Heat on the go
I eagerly awaited this product when my back pain was diagnosed with degenerative discs. The pain was excruciating at times. After wearing this wireless hothead for a short time the pain from the cramping muscles disappeared!!! It is better than drugs and comfortable to wear. Low setting gives me about 4 hrs of heat but if the pain gets worse I can turn it up to medium and it feels great. Highest level would be much too hot to wear for any length of time. My only concern is the elastic strap which secures itself with velcro. The strap seems pretty flimsy but maybe that's what makes it comfy. My only complaint is that, apparently, I cannot buy replacement batteries so that I can have one charging to exchange with the one I'm wearing. PS - after wearing this gem for a week I have found no issues with the elastic strap. The constant heat has done wonders with reducing the pain from my bad disc. I can wear it while doing barn chores and it stays in place and keeps my back muscles from spasming. It fits so smoothly that it is discreet under a sweater or sweatshirt. High quality materials. It takes 1 1/2 hrs to fully recharge.

Worked for 2 years, 1 hour at a time
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this for two years and use it 2-3 times a week. It holds a change on medium for about an hour. Recently, a hole burned through it which is concerning, though I wasn’t hurt. Now it doesn’t work anymore.

Works for Me
I ordered a second one of these in order to have one on the charger when using the other. It works nicely for lower back and also for sore hip when rotated. I had to acquire a Velcro strap elsewhere to strap it around my thigh. Sunbeam used to sell a replacement battery for this but it got bad reviews from people saying it had short battery life on high setting. I don’t know how ANYONE could use it on any setting other than low — on low it lasts fine. I like this pad better than the one that uses a cell phone battery pack because that pad is too small and the pocket on the pad too small to hold cellphone sized portable battery pack & it is not convenient for me to put the battery pack in my own pocket.

I love the product but its durability is really poor.
UPDATE 12/27/2024: As noted in my first review, this is the second time I've bought this heating pad. The first one lasted 16 months; this second one only lasted a bit over 10 months. I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 1. A note to Sunbeam: FIX THE DURABILITY PROBLEM WITH THESE THINGS! It's otherwise a great product. This Sunbeam heating pad works well. I use it daily when I first get up to help sooth my aching back. It has 3 heat settings, and I usually use the second setting, which is plenty warm. The velcro on the strap is not very good, so you have to attached it to different spots on the pad once one spot "wears out". That's not a big deal. I like the wear the heating pad if it's chilly in the house and I'm sitting still. It's a good alternative to a space heater and lets you move about and stay warm. I even purchased the special quick charge adapter which shortens the charging time and also allows you to use the heating pad while charging.I really like this heating pad, but the main problem I have is that it doesn't last much longer than a year. This is the second one I've purchased and it lasted 16 months. The battery still takes a charge but it appears something in the wiring breaks and the pad will get slightly warm or not warm at all, even when I try using it with the A/C adapter. It is an expensive pad and I'm not sure I'll buy a third one.

Only Two Minor Complaints
I've used mine for winter months for 2 years to alleviate lower back pain caused by cold air. I consider it to be a bargain and would purchase another if need be. My minor complaints are the battery is not in an ideal location and does not hold its charge when set on the highest of 3 heat levels. This shortcoming can be solved by not using the highest temperature setting, which I seldom use. Also, the Velcro on the strap is smaller than it could be (2 inches by 3/4th of an inch) and therefore will come lose if the strap is stretched so that it is nicely snug to your back (which makes a real difference in very cold air). It would be a major improvement if the width of the Velcro is enlarged. I solve this problem by wearing a tight-fitting sweater over this warmer and under a coat, which is also excellent for layering in really cold weather.

Battery doesn’t last, close to impossible to buy a spare battery
I like the device overall, but I need it to last longer, I need a second battery, to use the device while I charge the initial battery. Not recommended for sitting more than three hours. At three hours the battery dies and you are out of luck until you can get to the charger, which needs to plug into house current. It’s a shame because while the battery is good, the heating pad does a good job!

Amazing for menstrual cramps!!
I get really bad menstrual cramps that usually leave me chained to the bed because roasting under a heat pad is the only thing that really helps. The old heat pad I was using has to be plugged in so it was very inconvenient having to be laying around all day to avoid being in pain. This portable wireless heat pad has been a huge help because I’ve been able to be up and about, making bread and getting things done around the house all while wearing this discreet little pad under my clothes! It works great to keep my cramps at bay, is very comfortable to wear and you can easily wear it under a baggy shirt and no one will even know it’s there. I even made a run to the grocery store wearing it and I feel great even though I got woken up by that terrible feeling of my insides churning last night, but wearing this heat pad all day has been keeping the pain away efficiently and in a very convenient way that allows me to go on about my day instead of being stuck laying around for hours :) the battery could be a little better, but I’ve been able to wear it on the medium heat setting for probably about 3 hours before it died and it already gave 3 hours of being able to do things instead of being in pain, so I will still take the win because considering the price I feel like that’s not a bad deal! Charging it up so I can wear it again in a few hours when it’s fully charged is no biggie in my opinion. 10/10 would recommend!!!
