Having kids with iPads means you need to learn how to replace the screen. I suggest some E8000 glue and 8 to 10 plastic clamps. Also, if you are moving the home button to keep touch ID, that takes extreme care but can also be done with a tiny bit of the E8000 glue and clamping. Take your time, allow the touch button to setup first for a couple of hours, and then do the screen. Also, a heat pad makes the process smoother. I've done it without one, but if you think you will do a screen swap more than once get a heat pad. The videos on YT and written guides on iFixit are a great resource for planning. The biggest take away is plan to go slow, and allow time between any steps involving either cleaner or glue.

I purched two other replacement screens from two separate other vendors before I bought this one. This screen was a bit more expensive, but for an extra 7 or 8 dollars, it was definitely worth it.This screen was carefully packaged, and had everything I need to replace the screen myself. I followed the instructions but supplied in the package as well as the video from using their QR code printed in the instructions.I was happy to find an included screen protector, a roll of double sided tape, (which I did not need thanks to the pre-installed adhesive on the replacement screen) tools, and an pre-installed home button on the screen.I had carefully removed the original home button from the broken screen, so I replaced the new one with the old button (the old button has the fingerprint reader, the new one does not.).Excellent instructions, follow along and you won't be disappointed.Some tips I learned along the way: keep the LCD screen clean. The broken shards from the original digitizer may have caused some scratches to the very soft LCD. I used a Q-tip with alcohol to gently remove some of the very tiny glass shards, and that helped keep it from getting too much Korean scratched.Also, if you have cloth or latex gloves, using them will help keep oily fingerprint from getting on the LCD. I found out my fingerprints were EXTREMELY frustrating to eliminate from the LCD. I think I spent more time cleaning the LCD, than the actual repair.Finally, go slow, keep the microscopic screews on a magnet, or in a jar, or something to keep them from being lost. They are VERY small and I would expect them to be difficult to replace if lost.This is not a beginners task to replace this screen. I have replaced only a few other screens for devices, both for cellphones and tablets, and this one took a LONG time for me. I consider myself very amature at replacing screens, and this was a SLOW and frustrating process.Do not be deterred by my difficulties however. I am older, have terrible eyesight, and my hands shake. I just went VERY slow and didn't force anything. If you have decent eyesight and a steady hand, this should be easier than my experience.Good luck! I highly recommend this product.

anyone that is intimidated to buy this, please get it. You can do it. I did it. It took me two hours, but I did it. stick with it, follow the directions, watch the YouTube video, and take your time. I cannot tell you how empowered I feel. I did something totally out of my comfort zone and now my iPad is fixed at a fraction of the price.

This screen replacement saved me so much money! My ipad screen cracked. I took it to a local place to get it replaced and they wanted $200! This product brought all the tools necessary to remove the broken screen and install this new one. I was able to fix my ipad screen myself by watching the instruction video and I’m not techie at all! It fit perfectly. Ipad is like new. You can’t tell that the screen was replaced. Would 100% recommend.

Works great. Customer service was very fast in responding and helpful in troubleshooting. Easy to replace screen. I watched a few videos online of other customers who used the same replacement screen and they were very helpful. The instructions in the box were also very detailed.

This is a great kit for an iPad 9. The kit contained everything I needed except for a #17 Exacto blade for scraping off glass and glue. Repair is not for the faint of heart. But if you find a good DIY video and use the directions it is doable. Be patient and clean everything well.

I came across this screen replacement when looking into options to repair or replace my son's iPad that he recently dropped and cracked the screen. I decided to give this a shot first before buying a replacement. A professional repair was not worth the cost in my option due to the age of the device. I'm very happy I went this route! The screen looks brand new and functions just as good as the original.The installation is tedious and time consuming. It took me about 90 mins to complete and multiple times re-watching the installation videos to make sure I was performing every step correctly. Be sure to setup a clean working environment, fully understand each step, and take your time. The instructions provided and online videos could be improved and more detailed to make installation easier.
