Impressive hub
The media could not be loaded. This is nice and lightweight (pictured it next to a battery to give a size comparison) and it will 100% grow with you over time . It is capable of 8k video output . Now I can’t test this as I don’t have an 8k monitor but over time I am sure we will do this is great future proofing. I have used it with an M1 MacBook Air and it has performed flawlessly with an external monitor and I love the fact you have a dedicated PD port in and an additional thunderbolt c port which means you can power and use a thunderbolt device at the same time eg SSD plus having the 8k HDMI port. Is it expensive ? Yep at time f review well north of £100 but it’s made by Satechi and I have used this brand a lot in the past and never been let down so I have no reason to believe anything that this will be a solid performer for some time . Overall this is a pricey but excellent product .

Good overall performance, if a little pricy.
This is the first time I have had a product from Satechi and this is a 6-in-1 USB-4 hub and it makes a pleasant change from the silver rectangular shaped ones I usually come across.Build quality looks to be ok and its like and compact enough for travel use. Port wise, you get an Ethernet port, Audio port, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x1 10Gbps, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x1 10Gbps/100W PD, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2x1 10Gbps and 8K@60Hz HDMI.To give this a run for its money, I connected it up to a modern Window 11 laptop, via the Thunderbolt 4 port and plugged in a 6600MB/s NVMe drive in a 40Gbps enclosure, a 2200MB/s NVMe drive in a 10Gbps enclosure, 4K@60Hz external monitor, 100W GaN II fast charger and Ethernet cable. In reverse order. Internet speeds were around 950Mbps download and 52Mbps up. The max charging rate I got it up to be was 97W, so on spec.Data transfer rates weren’t bad and the 10Gbps figure is what is often said to be the theoretical figure, as so many things can affect it. At 10Gbps, the max speed the drives could reach is 1250Mb/s. The faster of the two drives was arrived 800MB/s read & 650MB/s write. The other drive was around 550MB/s and 650MB/s. With more prolonged tests, I would expect both drives to have a similar performance from this hub, as it is some way of delivery the max 1250MB/s figure. Real time speeds when moving multiple MP4 files simultaneously was around 400MB/s. Plugging the fastest drive directly into my laptops Thunderbolt 4 port, I can get just under 3000MB/s.Not having an 8K display, I’m not able to comment on that. However, performance through the 4K monitor @60Hz was perfectly fine. I did also run it at 2K@144Hz on a 32” desktop monitor. Again, with no issues. This does tick a lot of boxes and did perform well overall. I would have hoped for slightly faster data transfer speeds. The only thing I will say is that you can get this performance and spec for under £100 from other brands.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading

Port adapter
Great for increasing the number of ports on your laptop - mine only has two USB ports so this is great for increasing the number of ports, especially when I use wireless peripherals which need a USB dongle to be inserted.

Stylish Adapter, next-generation technology that comes at a cost
I like the functionality of the SATECHI USB4 6-in-1 Multiport Adapter, which provides me with all the essential ports I needed in one compact device. The adapter's sleek design complemented my MacBook Pro perfectly and a convenient addition to my setup. I do see a noticeable improvement in data transfer speeds and overall performance. Furthermore, charging from the USB-C PD port is quick and convenient for on-the-go charging. However, I must admit that the £139.99 price tag seems high for the number of ports. I've used other multiport adapters with more ports and lower prices in the past, but the fact that the adapter includes next-generation USB4/Thunderbolt 4 technology drives up the price significantly. While the SATECHI adapter has a sleek design and excellent functionality, the cost of this next-generation technology should be considered. Overall, this 6-in-1 Multiport Adapter is a reliable and efficient device that complements my MacBook Pro nicely. Its cutting-edge technology and fast charging speed make it a useful addition to my setup, but the high price tag is a detriment.

Failed after 3 months
I got this because of the 2.5Gbps Ethernet support, and it was great until it failed after 3 months. Moving back to the cheap usbc aukey 1Gbps Ethernet multi-port adapter I've had for over 6 years. This is not a reliable product.

Satechi decepcionando... cosa rara.
