It’s a beautiful piece and made very well but it is many many shades darker than what is shown in the stock photos and even other reviews. It’s almost black in certain areas. Disappointed in that. But other than a slight odor it is great so far.

Update: This is a great product but please understand you will have to 'air' it out somewhere until the awful smell goes away. -and it is AWFUL- It eventually does. Took a little over a week for my cover to not stink. Now it functions as expected. I'm now satisfied.

Its just as stated. Large enough and looks more expensive than it is. I have received several positive comments and two wanted to know where I got it. Some people stated a strong smell. While it does have a smell but found that you have to put your face to it to really notice. I had no issues. I stuffed with old towels, a wool coat, foam and and and,,,, It takes way more than you think so be ready to fill it with whatever you have.

Quality, sturdy and rugged. Looks really quality and gives some pop to my living room. The smell reminds me of when I used to sacrifice goats to the overlord Borgon the Destructor. Absolutely delicious.

I had hoped to be able to ask for a pouf with lots of variety in color from panel to panel, so as to match the chair I have in photo. I was not able to do so, which was not ideal, but fortunately the one I got wasn’t completely homogenous in color. I may try to use a leather wax to tint for a bit more depth in some panels. But very happy with communication and delivery. Also, I did not find an unpleasant smell whatsoever. Mildly sweet, actually. And very transient. Stuffed with literally anything malleable I could find. There are plastic bags, old clothes, packaging fillers from the amazon purchase itself. As this is mostly decorative I think that’ll do just fine. Overall pleased.

I love the look of this pouf. Ordering it unstuffed definitely saves you some money. I used old sofa pillows and some blankets to fill it in. I read lots of reviews about the smell from the leather and let me just say, it's all true. It smells like a petting zoo in my living room. I stuffed a handful of dryer sheets inside, wiped it down with vinegar, sprinkled baking soda all over and inside and aired it outside for 2 days and I can still catch a whiff of it when I walk into the room. That said, I'd buy it again and I'd recommend it because of how nice it is and the smell has almost completely faded.

I received the pouf promptly and well packaged back in Sep 2020 but just now getting around to a review. I stuffed it with old towels and a few pairs of jeans and other clothing items (that I was sure I'd be able to wear again but as it has been years, gave up on that). It was easy to stuff and you can make it as full as you want. It is sturdy and has held up well to use for month now. I am happy with this item and would definitely buy again AND recommend.

So after reading all the reviews I was SO curious to smell this thing. Oh, it's lovely and I can't wait to stuff it... once the smell dies down. I'd love to say it smells like fine raw leather but I am pretty sure they are tanning these things with human vomit and crushed stink bugs. That said, I have it airing out and once it loses its unique aroma, it's going to make a wonderful addition to my living room. Should you brave the stench and buy it? This is honestly a great price for real leather and good quality, sturdy stitching, so yes. It's a good buy. That said, you will have to air it out for a bit before you actually allow it into your home.
