Nice Deck
I would give 5 stars except for the guide book. The cards are beautiful but the guide book fell apart as soon as I opened it. The glue does not hold.

AI art, the meaning of many of the cards not obvious
AI art. Suit cards are just variations on the suit object. Different versions of a sword, different versions of a cup... It's not clear what the meaning of the card is from the picture. The Major Arcana has some pictures ranging from okay to good. The guide book has no pictures and is just a basic description of the cards. The cards are decent card stock and are gilded red which is pretty but this shouldn't be anyone's first deck and it won't be anyone's favorite.

LOVE
Beautifully horrifying art on this deck. It has given me very insightful and coincidental spreads or draws.

A Bit Misleading
Let me preface by saying I am not the average purchaser of tarot cards. I have been collecting decks for many years now, and so I am comparing these cards with the best and worst I have encountered. Your opinions may vary..However, I would be remiss if I didn't begin with my error. I did not carefully consider the misleading preview. If I had, I should have noticed that the vast bulk of what is shown is major arcana, and that the few minor arcana cards shown are painfully simplistic. While the major arcana cards are fairly solid depictions of classical cards, there are some that slide past important symbolism. I am not against this in general, and don't even mind if an artist creates entirely new takes on themes providing the guidebook leads to some connection between the image and the interpretation. This is painfully absent in this set.Where this becomes a much larger problem is in the minor arcana. The guidebook gives meanings, and they are in keeping with the traditional interpretations, but the images are just a number of variations on a single wand, cup, sword etc with the number and suit emblazoned upon them in dramatic red font. There is no imagery that links the card with the description in the book. For example, the two of wands describes two paths in the guidebook. The card image is..you guessed it. a single wand. The artwork is pleasant as dark works go, and the sepia tones are beautiful, but the lack of attention to the minor suits renders the deck uninspired and I would imagine completely useless to a person learning to interpret cards for the first time. I can imagine these would be great for a horror prop, and I didn't even mind that a couple were damaged in that way. For someone just looking for a spooky prop, these could be quite nice.If you are looking for a divination tool by which you may connect, and find inspiration, I would pass these by. There are many many decks out there in which it is clear that the artist cared about each card individually. Overall, these feel mass-produced, souless and cheap.I do like the red foil edges though.
