Extremely Unsafe – Caught Fire During Use !!
I purchased the Prestige PIC 20 Induction Cooktop in October 2024, and within a short time of use, it suddenly caught fire while cooking. My home’s electricity was perfectly fine, but the unit itself malfunctioned. This was a serious fire hazard and could have caused major injury or damage.I have already informed Amazon by email about this issue. Let’s see what further steps they will take regarding replacement or refund.Very disappointed with the quality and safety standards of this product. I expected better from Prestige and Amazon. I strongly do not recommend this product to anyone until the company addresses this dangerous defect.

Good induction stove, needs rubber bushes.
Induction stove works as advertised.Pros: Decent quality, single button operation, compact, good number of inbuilt modes (pressure cooker, milk, warm).Cons: major flaw in the design is that it does not have rubber bushes. It slides on kitchen counter. They have made serrations in plastic housing and does not work.Power can be changed from 1400 to 1200 to 1000 but after 1000 it goes directly to 500. There could have been 1 additional level at 750.Power consumption might be slightly higher than my previous induction stove ( Phillips)

Stopped working after 16 days
The machine stopped working with No Display at the Display Panel after 16 days from the date of delivery on 27.1.25. Complaint was lodged to the customer care on 14/1/25. The Tecnician visited is well mannered and he replaced the Mother Board on 17/1/25. Product is now working satisfactorily. The Service from customer care team was quite prompt and satisfactory. The product with multiple heating modes looks elegant , is light & comfortable size and and easy to operate. The product needs to be used for quite sometime to assess the durability and overall performance.
