Does the job
This is the first manual burr grinder I’ve used, so I really don’t have a point of comparison vs other manual burr grinders. However, I can say it does the job. Cranks smoothly to grind the beans without much effort. Getting the right grind for my espresso machine was somewhat tricky and involved some trial and error because of how you have to adjust the mechanism. So much so that I really don’t like having to switch to a coarse grind for my french press and prefer to leave it set for my espresso machine. The relative difficulty in finding the grind you need is why I took off one star. This really isn’t a good type of grinder to get if you need to change the coarseness of your grounds fairly regularly.Something to note is that this grinder isn’t the greatest design if you have arthritis. Holding onto the grinder with my left hand while I turn the crank with my right hand can hurt my thumb joint. This does not reflect poorly on the product. I personally should have chosen a grinder that is more ergonomic (a long slim cylindrical design would likely have been better for me), and thought this may be helpful to note for anyone with arthritis looking for a burr grinder. This little burr grinder does the job until I decide to splurge on an electric one.Disclaimer: I was offered a $3 Amazon gift card as part of the Amazon Early Reviewer Program to write a review for this product. Just got me on here to take the time to write a review. :PEdited in 8/8/19 to add that I’ve solved the dilemma of not being able to precisely switch back and forth between the coarse-ness of grounds I need for my espresso machine vs French press. I took a fine tip sharpie and made a small dot on one of the “spokes” of the part you turn to adjust coarseness. (See my picture — yellow arrow drawn on the picture points to the tiny dot I made.) Now I know I need to rotate that part three full rotations (clockwise or counter clockwise) to get to (or back to) my preferred grind. The dot as a place marker of sorts makes doing this easy. I hope that makes sense. Thought I’d share because it’s made switching how coarse I’m grinding the coffee sooooooo much easier vs when I was just guessing. In case other potential buyers of this product use multiple types of coffee makers and need different coarseness of coffee.

Nice little grinder
This is a nice little coffee grinder. I only drink one cup per day, so this is perfect for me. It is easy to set the grind size and produces a consistent grind every time. It’s very sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. I’ve only made a whole pot of coffee with this once and it does take a little time to grind that much whole bean by hand, but for my single serving french press it’s fast and perfect. I would highly recommend this grinder.

It’s okay
Shipping was really fast and everything arrived in excellent condition. My issues with the coffee grinder is that the burr itself isn’t sharp enough to provide a nice consistent grind, leaving you with a bunch of giant grounds that won’t grind, no matter how hard you try. It’s also a little difficult to get it on a setting you like, even if you read the instructions.I really wanted to like this coffee grinder but the truth is, when grinding coffee, you sometimes can’t settle for what is cheap!

Manuel coffee grinder
Got it for back up and traveling. Not used it yet but it looks great. Like the looks and if it performs as well as we expect we will get another.

Good quality for the price.
Consistent grind size. Quick grinding. Just do not overfill top holding cup because it can spray beans everywhere if you do.
