Very happy I got this
I waited too long before pushing the button on one of these. I was worried about the reviews of similar products mentioning getting brushes stuck. We have a very efficient modern stove, which means the flue gasses are generally pretty cool. Whilst the stove is great, the chimney really needs sweeping 3 times a season since the stove is in almost 24h/day use. We also have 2 x 45degree bends in the first 2M of chimney run, which makes using conventional rods impossible. This kit makes sweeping through a chimney access port/door easy. The rods managed the 2 bends easily, and the kit has paid for itself first use. The drill attachment did pop off the bottom rod a couple of times, but this didn’t cause problems, and is possibly due to technique. Either way, the kit did a brilliant job, and has got the stove back to full efficiency in about 20 minutes. The storage bag is good quality, and means I can keep the rods handy in the under stairs cupboard. I had no worries about the rods themselves coming apart in use. The rod to rod connections (sprung button and hole) are more secure than the drill to rod attachment. This is by design, since the drill to rod connector needs to be removed each time you add another rod. The rods are solid nylon with crimped on steel fittings. They are not pinned through, but I had no worries about the fittings coming off. The rotary technique means that you are constantly moving the brush head up and down, completely different to old fashioned rods with a stiff brush that is very difficult to change direction since the stiff bristles are either pointing down (when pushing up) or up (when pulling down). The whole process was easy and highly successful. Very pleased I bought this. Not perhaps for everyone, but makes a nasty job very straightforward.

Excellent product - tough enough to do the job easily
don't often leave reviews - but this is excellent. much better than the cheaper / inferior products - for sale on amazon with 4 or 6 inch brushes - tried those as well. The nylon rods are a decent thickness, so you cant twist them up in knots. This went though a birds nest - which was the reason for needing them - easily, including round 2x 45 degree corners. . not hard to use - much easier with 2 people (teenage son on the drill end) - and we were done in about half an hour. Pulled absolutely loads of soot out of the chimney -so has already paid for itself - I think it is probably cleaner now than it has ever been.. clear polythene is an excellent inclusion. instructions about keeping it spinning to keep the brush centred and so easy to feed in and out is correct - much , much easier to use than the manual rods. Only difficulty being taking them apart when withdrawing them - but found it easier to remove the drill adapter, then give the rod connector a tap with something like the end of the previous rod to release the twisting tension. overall really pleased, going to go all the chimneys in the house as preventative maintenance.

Good, just be aware the rod fittings are a bit of a faff!
I watched a few Youtube videos showing the Chimney Typhoon in use and purchased the Power brush system. So, here's a totally unbiased review! Ok, these are a Chinese copy of the US ButtonLok/SnapLok system, the rods are a solid plastic /Nylon material, the main difference is the locking mechanism on the rods. These are a more simplistic version, a single sprung pin which locates into the female end. It certainly works fine, however it really is a bit of a faff to get off, you have to depress the catch with the tool provided then pull apart, sounds straight forward, but trust me it isn't! Getting on is certainly easier. However, apart from that and considering the price point, it's pretty good. I have a woodburner, with a 8'' stainless steel liner, popped up a GoPro before and after and I have to say, after use, the liner is as clean as a professional sweep. Perfect for using a couple of times a year, you just don't want to be using it every day, regarding, the lock pin system, but of course you know that.. Forgot to say the brush is a Nylon/ strimmer type material, works fine without trimming down. Overall, pleased with the purchase, and probably the purchase cost, less than a chimney sweep call out..(albeit without the house insurance certificate)

Great kit
Really pleased with this product. Stove has two bends in flue and it managed these with no issues. Had no issues adding and removing poles. Just make sure you keep drill turning as you pushed the poles up and bring them back down. Cleaned alot of dirt from flue, probably the best clean I've managed to do with any pole system. Make sure you use plastic cover as there will be alot of dust.

Best sweep for the novice
What attracted me to this kit was the brush. I have no idea what diameters my chimney is and which brushes to use at what part. This kit allows you to shove the brush up and it will fit the size of the hole. I have cleaned two chimneys with it now, my first attempts. My findings are: the actual rods turn, there isn't a connector inside the rods that powers the brush. Using the drill I found that after 8 sticks it was hard to get the rods to turn, the drill bit kept slipping against the load. This can be fixed by creating something to hold the drill bit better in the drill, it's a shame the drill bit doesn't have bigger hexagonal sides to stay firm but it can be overcome if you are technically minded. The soot that comes out is evil. Don't think for one second you can scrimp on preparing the room, the stuff gets everywhere. Don't just stick the plastic sheet up with a few dabs of tape, the tape needs to go around all the edges, without a break. Otherwise the soot will escape. Also tape up the hole in the middle of the sheet so it is only big enough for the rod. The click buttons on each rod are good and do keep the sticks together but it really helps to oil them as they go up and down for easy removal. Had a blip with my first attempt and contacted customer service who were prompt and very helpful. I'm a complete novice and recommend this to others

Top quality power sweeper.. I bought to clean my stove that has a 150mm flue liner and it worked great using my cordless drill. The rod connectors are solid and secure so it doesn't come apart and rods are very flexible to get through 45deg at base with ease.. I put up snake camera afterwards to inspect and it had it cleaned great.. I would highly recommend this chimney kit.
