Great trees. Price was less than box stores.
Love these trees and they arrived in 4 days. The trees are healthy and have grown a couple inches. Great price. My daughter loves them too and has placed an order for yard. Thank you

Not the best setup, but better than expected
NOTE: I will update this review to 4 stars if these plants live. So after reading a lot of reviews I decided to take a chance on these. 1. They were actual rooted saplings, in a bulk egg-carton style planter. each tree was in a section about 3 inches tall, but shaped square 1.5" x 1.5". Sorry I threw it away before taking pictures, but its like those black plastic things you get at the nursery with small starter plants in bulk 2. Soil was moist 3. All sapling were green, and alive. I immediately transplanted them out of these small planter things into either cut off 1 liter bottles or dixie style cups. so far.... they are all alive, and it's been about 2 weeks give or take. If they make it to the 2 month mark, I will increase the rating here and let everyone know. As it stands now, I may get some more. The review is showing as 3 stars, but it is truly averaging 3.5, which will increase to 4.5 if these go the distance. My only complaint is the small amount of soil and the planting method when delivered.

Poor quality- false advertisement.
Not at all what I expected. They did not survive. Not worth the money at all. Looks like sprigs cut off a tree limb.

Well packed and fresh, good value if you understand what you are getting and how to handle.
I purchased 30 of these in early April to plant here in USDA zone 7b. We have a relatively poor draining soil type here in NC (clay), so I prepared this line of the property by tilling as I would for a garden, and then covered with landscaping fabric prior to marking and digging about 3 gallon holes for each tree. These were then filled with organic compost and each tree seedling planted and staked. The trees will arrive in 2-3 inch tray type, light plastic pots, about 12-18 inches from base of the sapling to tip. It is important to note that since the Leyland Cypress is a hybrid, and therefore mostly sterile...all plants bought are from rooted cuttings...no matter where you buy from. Handling this type of tree sapling is a little more delicate of a process, but the cost savings are significant. I will update the post as they grow, but at this point...the seller, Daylily nursery, has certainly done their part. The rest is up to nature...and the deer in the area leaving them alone.

2/5 survived and growth rate has been slow.
whelp, I am 6 months into this and only 2 of the 5 have survived. Two died within the first 2 months and the third is currently withering away. I'm not sure what I could have done better. The two that are living are doing great! They look very healthy and are growing. My only complaint would be that the rate of growth is not looking like anything near 4-6 feet per year... Maybe I will get 1 foot after a year. At this rate I would have rather payed ~$60 for two matured trees from a local store.

Very Small
Second time ordering! First order was great. Plants were about 15 inches tall. This order they were about 7 inches tall. Seem to be ok so far as they are still alive! Will see in a few months how they do in the post I planted them in!

THESE ARE NOT TREES, THEY'RE CUTTINGS.
You're receiving cuttings from a leland cypress, not rooted plants. Here's what I received in response to this. Dear Customer Thank You for contacting us! Yes, this item is just the cutting, the rooting is the next step. Here are some advises: Rooting Instructions 1)Fill a 6-inch pot with well draining potting mix. 2)Dip the cut end, approximately 2 inches, into the rooting hormone powder. 3)Insert pencil into the potting mix to form a hole. Place the cutting into the pencil hole. Firm the soil around the stem cutting. 4)Set the pot in a well-lit area out of direct sunlight. Ideal rooting temperature should be around 70°. Keep the cuttings moist throughout the growing season. For best results, create a greenhouse environment. 5)Plant may need 60 days to form the root. Test the condition of the rooting process by gently tugging on the stems after three months. If resistance is felt, the cutting is taking root. Remove all cuttings that have dried out and not rooted. 6)Transplant the rooted cuttings the following spring.

Quality
The little plants delivered were green and of extremely good quality. I have ordered various plants from plant companies that turned brown after the first week of planting. This is not the case with the Leyland Cypress I ordered through Amazon. They are as green and healthy after several weeks as they were when they arrived.
