Great! All fish and turtle alive and healthy after 2 weeks
Bought 5 of these. 3 fish tanks and one turtle. First I charged them fully. I followed the easy instructions for setting the timer. You can set up to 4 feeding times a day. I tested each one for the type of food it was to dispense so I could adjust the slot where the food came out so as not to over or under feedOne used algea disks, two flakes, one Betta pellets and one for irregular turtle food. The only one that caused issues were the super small Betta pellets. I used the advice from another post and used a piece of tape to make the hole half the width. I was leaving town for two weeks with a.quick one day return half way through. My one worry was the flakes getting moisture and causing them to clump up. Half way through, I returned, and with my timing I was there for the morning feeding. They all turned and dispensed the food. All fish and the turtle were all well. I let it be and left again. On return, all was well with over 3/4 charge left. Make sure you test it all out for proper amount.

This gadget saved Nemo!
I have a 55 gallon aquarium in my office with my beloved Nemo, a 12 year old parrot fish who has kept me company since he was tadpole size. With COVID 19, our offices closed and I had no way to get my aquarium out and was in a total panic as to how to feed Nemo and his buddies for the next month or so. I ordered this automatic fish feeder and put it together and programmed it within 30 minutes. I could never figure out how to program my old VCR, but this was much easier. A word of caution - make sure that the opening that dispenses the food it basely open and test it many times before leaving it on the tank. I finally have it adjusted so that it dispenses just the right amount of food. I check on Nemo weekly and he is doing fine an his tank is not full of fish food. I love this little gadget and would recommend it to anyone who cannot get in to feed their fish regularly during COVID 19 or ever while going on vacation.

Problem and Solution: Dispenses too much for a solitary fish... but...
This is a great unit... easy to program and use, however there is a minor problem, and I'm sharing my solution. I have a single betta fish, and all the feeders, even on the smallest opening, dispense way too much food for a solitary fish. So my solution was to drill a 1/8" hole in the middle of the slot, and then keep the slot closed! (see photo). This dispenses a perfect amount of food with each rotation.Keep in mind, this is meant for very small pellets or granualr food... it will (obviously) not work with flakes. I use bug bites for my betta, and they flow very nicely through the hole.

Used for several out of town trips and no issues
I like that it's rechargeable and it's worked great for a few out of town trips. Before I left I did test it with my food so I could get the right size opening for the amount of food I wanted to come out. When I found the size I wanted I taped it there so I could be sure it wouldn't move. I did notice that each rotation didn't produce the exact same amount of food but it averaged to what I wanted. I chose the automatic twice a day setting which I thought was convenient. I had to leave a bigger opening at the top of my tank than I would have liked but I'm not sure if I could have avoided that with another brand. The opening sits about 3 inches away from the rim and I put it on the back of my tank facing in. I could have done the side but I'm not sure if could have made it smaller without food hitting the back of the tank as it rotates.

Great vacation item. Your turtles will be fed!
After reading reviews on several turtle feeders, I am glad I purchased this product. Based on what I read on this one, I was skeptical that setting the timer would be difficult. That was not the case, the directions were easy to follow. I was also happy to see that there is an option to set a timer to feed the turtles 3 times per day since "Speedy & Shredder" are so greedy (They were fed twice per day, the second feeding as a treat while we were away). Another great feature is the USB charging. The instructions state the single charge should last 6 months, no more batteries! Finally, the quality of the product is great. I was not concerned that the unit was going to fall in the water while I was away, the vise connecting to the tank is very tight and the unit does not move. After a 4 day trip, I can only assume the turtles were fed twice per day based on how much food was left in the unit. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Perfect- no worry feeder
I bought 2 of these 1 each for my 2 75 gallon tanks. They have adjustable feed windows to control output which is great. Just take a min or two to test before you walk out the door on vacation!! I set mine up about a week before fine-tuned the output and wow!! My tanks are sooo much easier to maintain. I am a cronic overfeeder.... so that is a thing of the past and the battery life is amazing which is recharged by cord!! win, win no batteries to pay to recycle. I am really pleased with this purchase. Setting the feeding times is in Millitary time so a 24 hr clock once you get that you're good and best yet is you can still fee out a "treat" when you walk by the tank and they call to you!!!

Hit or miss
I have a couple of these and overall they do work and the battery lasts a long time. But there are some design flaws that can be a deal breaker. One is that it's really only setup for pellet or granule food- not flakes. I have been able to get it to work with flakes if you really grind it into small pieces but it's a pain. The other big flaw is that this doesn't grip the aquarium well because of the plastic lip that's on most framed aquariums. So it barely holds on which means it's easy to knock into the aquarium if hit. If this happens- you are out of a unit because although it's made to be for an aquarium, it's not waterproof 🤦♀️. I have lost a few this way and am done with this issue. These will be my last units. I'm a bit surprised that something made to be near water is not prepared to be exposed to it. So it's reliable and long lasting but only grips well if there's not a lip/traditional frame so purchase with caution.

Works Well
Easy to program and works well. I use it to feed a turtle and the battery life is excellent. You do have to experiment with it at first to see how much food a single turn releases, but it only takes a few tests to figure that out. No complaints and super convenient, especially when on vacations.
