The camera setup, using wired ethernet went easy. Installation and Dericam App are intuitive. I'm not a fan of the swipe the screen to pan, it takes a long time and many swipes to pan across manually. The preset positions fixes this for the most part. The presets also include zoom level which is a nice feature. I use tinycam for some other cameras and the P2P UID is not compatible with tinycam app, would need to forward ports for that.The motion detection works, still trying to find the best sensitivity. Email alerts worked, but need to enable it in 2 places. I setup FTP and turned off email for now, but easy to make any changes from the app so I can turnon/off alerts at anytime.

EDIT: Camera died after 6 months. unplugging and plugging back in did no good. Seller did not offer replacement camera. $135 in the trashcan. Switched to different cameras now after buying......6 or so dericams that never gave me a problem before.Because this camera has digital zoom it also has an auto focus to refocus the camera after the zoom has been changed. That function causes the picture to show "jaggies" on horizontal lines especially, and on other areas of the image on a 1080P monitor as can be seen in the attached image. The only way to get rid of the jaggies is to blur the image slightly by manually changing the focus. Which presents another problem. The browser software has no focus adjustment that I could find. It is necessary to install and use the Dericam camera viewing software which has a focus adjustment button in it. It is so annoying to use the digital zoom to look at something in the browser, then have to focus the camera using the Dericam software. Then having to repeat the refocusing process when the camera is returned to it's normal view. The image does look OK in a browser if it is viewed on a 4k monitor at 4K resolution.I really wanted to like the camera and expected it to be a good one because I already own about....6 other dericams. The reason I bought this one was because the others were so good. After looking around I really wonder if this is a cheap off brand camera that Dericam put their name on and then doubled the price on it. Check around and you will find cameras that look almost exactly like this at half the price. I would not recommend this camera at the $135 price. I have dahuas that are fixed focus whose image is perfect and cost half as much. In fact every other camera I have including foscams, amcrests and web cams look better than this camera, and they are all about half the price.The digital zoom is fun to play with. I wish it was a stronger zoom. For anyone looking for zoom functions, 4 times like this camera has is just enough to make you wish for 10X or more. The night vision of the camera is fantastic. It almost looks like a black and white movie picture with a high quality lustre to it. And the camera does have a very well designed mount. On old style mounts the lower screws are impossible to tighten properly without an L shaped screwdriver. This camera has a two piece mount. A lower mount is screwed in first, then the upper mount slides down over the lower mount and locks in place, making it easy to tighten the upper screws into place without worrying about dropping the camera.

I really like this security camera though having a little trouble getting it to work wireless . Would give it a 5 star otherwise. I currently have it connected by wire. It has sound , microphone

It's a great camera, I use it for security in my front yard,it works as they said it would, night vision is good, but it could be better. It's easy to set up only takes about 3 minutes, easy install also. The only drawback is if you need customer support you have to email the company. But other than that it's a great product for the money.

This ptz cam was extremely easy to install and transmits an excellent picture. Used to record and monitor activity in my second home which is 500 miles away. No fees, or monitoring costs. Real easy!

I finally pulled the trigger on an outdoor ptz wifi camera. I chose this one due to it being completely open source. I do not use p2p cameras as I prefer to manage the access to my cameras via port forwarding. Neither here-nor-there, I was very excited to set it up, which was very simple. The picture is amazing and the night vision is the best I've seen so far from a camera in this price range. The reason for the 3 stars is it's wifi connectivity. I have the camera installed just outside the room where my router is located, perhaps 20 feet away. When setting up the wifi on the camera, it shows a signal strength of 100. However, the camera connectivity drops off constantly. I'm using Blue Iris on my home computer, which is connected via ethernet, so I should not have problems there. Even using the app on my phone, which I use for all of my cameras, I cannot get a consistent connection, remotely or when on my home wifi. I do not want to resort to running an ethernet cable to the camera, so I will just see how it goes. I will update my review accordingly.**update**-5/29/20I have achieved a more consistent connectuon. However, camera no longer tilts up and down, only side to side. Minus 2 stars.

Easy to install, but would not stay connected. We bought a WiFi extender thinking maybe that was the problem. It was the camera. I have neighbors that bought the same camera, they had the same issue. Sent theirs back also.

This is my third camera and I have had no issues with any of them, I will say that the night vision on the first two models that have the smoked dome shield over the camera have poor visual at night when dew is present on the smoked shield.
