This works as described for dust collection. While I don’t understand why manufacturers have to have such a difference between PVC and dust collection (I realize it is schedule 20 vs 40), but it’s still annoying that they don’t make these parts interchangeable. If you aren’t familiar with dust collection, the plastic is thinner than regular PVC, but so long as you’re not dropping it on the floor or trying to force it into a fitting, it works very well.

Good quality and works well

I prefer to use my portable table saw outside, but sometimes the weather doesn't agree. With this fitting I was able to construct a fairly effective dust collection system with my RIDGID WD1450 shop vac. The Y fitting (2nd picture) gave me noticeably better suction than just teeing into a 2-1/2" vacuum line by cutting into it (1st picture), which I did until this fitting arrived.To get my shop-vac hose to fit snugly, I used some foil tape on the inside of the fitting to "build up" the inside diameter a bit. Had to do the same with the 1-1/4" fitting on my SawStop's guard (used duct tape there, no discernible difference in collection).Highly recommend POWERTEC's thumb-turn hose clamps as well.

I chose this one because it matched the hose that I have two It's a multiple device connection I like it The diverter connection hooks up two different devices off of a vacuum system I give it five stars.
