It is very easy to assemble & disassemble for cleaning & refilling
Bought this feeder to replace an identical model that hail broke. I tried a different one & the orioles would not use it ~ this one seems to be the one they prefer in my garden. I don't know if it's because they are used to it or it's just easier to access the sugar water? It is very easy to assemble & disassemble for cleaning & refilling. Would definitely buy another if needed.

Best available but could be better.
No problems with leakage. Easy to clean. Bees are deterred unless they figure out how to work as a team. I have occasionally tried adding washers to the bee guard to make them more effective. Constant problem with small plastic tab breaking off perch. Duct tape helps and I will try another reviewer's super glue suggestion but both of these workarounds make it harder to clean. Overall still readily used by orioles and hummingbirds and the orioles prefer these perches to the other available oriole feeders with bee guards. Selling replacement perches would be a huge help but I suppose the manufacturer is delighted that I have to keep buying new feeders every year.

Good so far
So far, they don't leak. We purchased an extra in case. Our Las Vegas heat eventually warps all the plastic feeders. WEe have gotten used to the fact and plan accordingly. The finches, orioles, hummers and verdin all use it. Grackles have tried. NOTHING will keep bees out of nectar feeders, but the little yellow swing doors help keep the problem down to a dull roar. I use a maximum of 2 cups of nectar in each feeder. Keeping them ultra clean with biodegradable soap and a tad of bleach not only keeps them sanitary, but also deters the bees for a day or so. They have to "rediscover" the food source.

Perfect feeder
So, I just got the feeder about 20 minutes ago and filled it with my own sugar mixture (does not come with nector) and before I got into the house the female Oriole was sucking it up like crazy. (I did use a little orange food coloring). The male came a few minutes later (after the female made sure it was OK) and it's been such fun watching them. So far (30 minutes) nothing leaks or any issues. I didn't put the bee guards in after I read the problems that some found with them. It's a great feeder so far. I also got the jelly feeder but they haven't found that yet. I will keep an eye on that for awhile. Honestly, it looks like a bird paradise in my back yard with all the Hummingbird feeders and now this Oriole feeder. I love it.

Newer Materials of a Cheaper Quality
This is the fourth Songbird Essentials Fliteline Junior Oriole Feeder I've purchased in the past three years, and I am terribly disappointed in the change in quality from the first three I bought. Previously, the bottle was made from a harder plastic material. This new one is a soft plastic that has a very bad smell, even after washing. I guess I'll have to look for a different brand, or try to find a used one made of the original quality plastic.

bee killer
I wanted to try this feeder for it looked very easy to clean. However, I put up two of these feeders, left town for two days, and, came home to find a large number of dead bees in both feeders. I counted a total of 160 dead bees. The bee guards simply do not work. I feel terrible that a thing like this can happen. This product must be taken off of the market.Margaret Marshall

Bees!!
I purchased this feeder because we have a problem with bees getting into our other Oriole feeders. As an Oriole feeder it is fine. The birds used it regularly. However, the bee guard mechanisms do not work. The bees push right past them and enter the feeder. Several have ended up dead inside. Once they are successful at entering, the bees swarm the feeder and the birds stop using it.

Love this feeder
Had one of these for many years. This is a very sturdy feeder and survived drops to the ground, the hot southern sun and storms for several years. The sun finally took its toll on a weak spot on the top of the feeder. This feeder has no "weak spot." Orioles, hummers, woodpeckers and several other species of birds enjoy drinking from this feeder. The feeder arrived as promised and was well packed to avoid damage. I am very pleased and would order from this vendor again.
