Beautiful Monster

At first, I thought I wasn't going to like this cd because when I played it the first time, I only listened to it for a little while and then changed the CD in my car. After awhile driving around in my car, I started listening to the words, message is great in all the songs. The beats keep you wanting to play certain songs over and over. "Im so gone" is one of my favorites on the cd, but really there is not one song I do not like on this cd. I hope I can see Thi'sl in concert someday. Im def buying his other two cds on here now.

I listen to this CD a lot! It is one of my favorites. Thi'sl brings a powerful message of God and salvation with his rap. I play it loud and have had a few people ask me who it is, and a couple of those people we not Christians as far as I know! It's a style that fans of rap can enjoy, and the words will minister to their hearts and souls. Lord God, thank you for this young man and the mighty work I can see you doing through him. Bless all that he does, and all those that listen to him and have their hearts opened to You.

I am a fan of Rap/Hip-hop and have been since the early 80's. I got saved in 1990 and found a decided lack of Hip-hop music that was uplifting or spiritually sound. Most Rap out there is poison to society but now we have an option. Solid Christian lyrics with awesome beats and baselines. Buy yourself a couple woofers and pop this CD in, you will love it. I have also found the 116 clique to be fantastic and when I went to an Unashamed Tour concert to see them live, Thi'Sl was there too. I ordered the CD that night. Simply fantastic.

I am a follower of Holy Hip-Hop and all the other names by which it is called. I'm also a follower of Thi'sl; I have his second album, "Chronicles of an Ex-Hustler", which contained material that I expected of a new(er) artist on their first studio album, especially coming from the lifestyle and background that he speaks about. With this album, I was expecting more and even though I didn't get what I wanted, others seem to adamantly tell me I'm wrong for expecting something different. Even though we know he's redeemed, he never fully conveys that in this album (TO ME); there's little substance and not much doctrine, just stories about life. I'm not knocking Thi'sl, before anyone thinks that, I'm just not a fan of this particular album. I am still going to follow, listen to and purchase anything and everything that I can get my hands on that Thi'sl makes because I believe in supporting the cause, because him and many other artists ARE PROVIDING ME with new avenues to get kids off the street corners and into a community of believers that can teach them about faith and how to practically live out holiness in their everyday lives.May the Grace of the Lord be with you.

THIS ALBUM IS BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best I've ever heard!!!! So many jams on this album!!!!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!!! If it was re-released 2morrow Id buy it again!. I've recommend this album to many people, and I do so again now. GET IT!!!!!

Most of these beats bang hard. The first track is one of my favorites. There are some unique tracks on this album that sound much different than anything I've heard. The only thing I didn't care (no fault of Thi'sl's) for is the softer tracks. I'm not a huge fan of sappy sounding songs, but that's just my personal preference. The songs that bang, bang hard for sure though!

This album really made my summer, I was tired of the same old gospel songs, and I was introduced to this artist, as well as other Gospel rap artists and this is one of my favorite albums. This'l has a rough tone, with hood beats and real talk about real issues that people face in the hood, that will have you bouncing, and praising God at the same time. Not recommended for the traditional gospel listener that has not really listened to Gospel rap before or dont like it.

I love this CD! I am trying not to listen to radio rap as much as I used to and this CD makes me feel like I am not missing out on anything--it is Christian but it is HIGH QUALITY. You can tell he has been through struggles in his life and I think his music would appeal to people who like mainstream rap.
