I bought these for the BBQ. They are quite large (I have a 7.5" hand), so those with smaller hands may find a bit too much to spare at the end of their fingers. However, the silicone grippy bits would offset that as they are very, very effective. I have no qualms in lifting the charcoal baskets to move them whilst they're at full heat. Shifting the grill plate is a breeze. These are so easy to use and make such a difference in feeling safe, protection from heat and maintaining dexterity, that I'm getting rid of my conventional 'mitt' oven gloves in the kitchen and getting another pair of these. They're not the least expensive, but they're certainly not overpriced. Great value for money, swift delivery and come in a handy, sturdy zip lock plastic bag to keep them in. Can't recommend highly enough.

Useful and functional despite its thicknessI bought the gloves to use on the wood stove and BBQ.I can list the pros and cons as follows:Pros:- My hand length is approximately 20 cm and I think it fits all my fingers and wrist very well.- Even though it seemed a little too thick, my mobility was high.- While I cannot hold my hand over the fire for 1-2 minutes with gloves on, while I cannot hold my hand over the fire for 3 seconds at BBQ. But after a while he gets very hot too.- I did not observe any deterioration caused by fire on the outer surface after use.- A case was also included in the package, which is a very nice detail for storage.Cons:- It was a little too thick, I expected it to be thinner and more mobile compared to the new generation weaving systems.- It does not have an ergonomic design that separates the front and back face, this creates an additional space for the palm part or the back and can restrict movement to some extent, I would like to convey this as a design recommendation.

These small/medium sized gloves are a good size for me and my family.I wear a mens sized 8 gloves, and they are quite snug.This also means that my wife and daughter who have much smaller hands, find these gloves work better than our previous set.The silicone pads are very effective at keeping fingers safe, although don't expect to grip a large heavy oven dish tightly for much more than 30 to 40seconds, if it is coming out of the oven at 230dregrees centigrade.Most oven gloves on Amazon are huge and suited for men who wear a uk size 10 or 11 gloves. When I compared these smaller gloves with our original gloves, they are clearly shorted in the finger length and palm size.The wrist cuffs are still a good length, which means there is little chance of burning your wrist on the inside of an oven door that opens sideways.Like with all these types of gloves, make sure they are dry, otherwise the heat rapidly transfers through the fabric and you'll still burn your hands.

Love these gloves. I use them for day to day cooking, better than ordinary oven gloves.

These are very well made but they are huge ,although I am A woman I have very large hands no woman's gloves for me so I always wear mens but let me tell you these are very large you need to have very long fingers for them to be of any use.oh and they were to big for my husband as well

Great gloves both for the cost and in terms of their performance. Very comfortable and although they give great protection you retain a lot of movement as the material is flexible. Use them to take 200° plates out of the oven regularly and use them on the gas bbq grill, if you hold something for more than 20 seconds or so you will feel the heat coming through but I've never been burnt / made to drop anything. Very useful around the house as I've used them to open the stove door a few times too!
