Highly recommended, can use it with any Nagaoka cartridge body
I bought this as a present for a relative who already had a Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge and stylus. As you may or may not know, any Nagaoka stylus can be used with any Nagaoka cartridge body, and it takes all of 5 seconds to make a switch. It's as easy as unplugging and plugging a USB cable. Vinyl enthusiasts mix Nagaoka bodies and styli in all kinds of different ways. I actually know of people who use an MP-500 stylus on an MP-110 body (this seems a little odd to me, but to each their own).My relative loves this, and is tickled pink. It provides more top end, more detail, a more airy sound. This is a very good, underpriced stylus. Now he uses this MP-200 for jazz, vocal, most electronic music. But he swaps back to the MP-110 stylus for thumping rock music, or old beat up albums (where the MP-110 has better low end response and tracks beater records better).Everyone should have both, and switch back and forth as you prefer.

Well worth the money to upgrade
If you’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger on this one, don’t. I’ve been enjoying my Nagaoka MP-110 for several years now and wanted a bit of an upgrade without breaking the bank. Well, the JNP-200 stylus on the MP-110 body is a great, fairly cost-effective, upgrade. It won’t give you all of the performance of the MP-200, but it’s been called the MP-180 upgrade on the audio forums for a reason. I can’t wait for this to be fully broken in. It sounds awesome on my humble little system.

Little Hack - Instant Upgrade to MP-110
I bought a Nagaoka MP-110 phono cart. (yellow) about a year ago to replace an old Grado Reference Platinum, and have enjoyed it quite a bit. I considered, at the time, buying the better cart., the MP-200 (purple), but the almost $400 price stopped me. I needed to find out if I liked the general sound of Nagaoka. I did. Then. after looking at the statistics and design of the cartridge body, ignoring the stylus, it seemed that the 110, 150, and 200, shared the same body and only changed the shape and quality of the needle and cantilever. Well, I saw a great price for the MP-200's replacement stylus (JN-P200), and bought it to try my "hack." Well it worked in spades!. The clarity, precision, sound stage, and drive from just changing the stylus is Night and Day. When I went back to the JN-P110 stylus, everything sounded more compressed, duller, and veiled. It was not just a "brighter" sound - everything got better as I listed above. So, the "hack": MP-110 cart $133, JN-P200 stylus $164 = $297 vs. $395 for an MP-200. Saves almost $100 and creates the same sonic improvement. Try it. You'll like it.

Will Fit MP110 Cartridge
There seems to be a little confusion about wether or not the mp200 will fit on the mp110 cartridge. It absoulutely will. Took me less than 60 seconds to remove the mp110 stylus and install the mp200 stylus. No forcing it on or modifications required. Initial impression: more distinct highs and better bass definition. Looking forward to hearing even more improvement after break in period. The mp110 has an output of 5mV while the output of the mp200 is 4mV.

WOW factor!
Great sound! Little plastic stylus box feels and looks cheap. Guess they invested in the components. This set up is fantastic with my vintage pre 1980 Sansui/Pioneer set ups. Sound quality beats others costing far more $$$.

Defective
So disappointed! I have been using Nagaoka cartridges for years now. I have the 110, 150 and 200. I recently ordered a replacement stylus for my 200. When I received it there was no stylus on the cantilever. I returned it and ordered another one. The second one was defective as well. When I put the stylus on the cartridge the cantilever came off the stylus. I expected much better from Nagaoka.

New life for my MP11 Boron cartridge
I like that Nagaoka still supports a 37 year old audio cartridge.

Buy it now!
I’ve owned the 100, 150 and now the 200. Hands down the best stylus I’ve ever had. Immediately out of the box it has amazing separation. Honestly the 150 was kind of lame and not amazing for its price point. I actually prefer the 100 to the 150.If you already own a MP-150 and wish to upgrade to the 200 all you need is the stylus because it fits 150’s cartridge.
