Fits well, soft rubber, non-slip, great. Read - Just buy another battery
Goes on with close fit. Flexible rubber, but keeps from slipping, and protects handheld without being bulky. Why do people think they have to remove the case to charge the battery? Just buy a second battery, battery changing is easy with the case on. If you MUST charge while on the radio (why? Who knows, the battery charges fine without being on the radio) just roll up the rubber enough to expose the terminals and allow the radio to slip into the charging stand. But as said, just remove the battery, it will charge just fine OFF the radio. And buy a second battery, they're cheap and having only one battery seems like a huge oversight. A second battery adds redundancy to the power supply for the radio, and is one of the best ways to improve reliability (an engineering solution is always to have a backup, whether it's a gun, or a bettery). Also, use a hole punch to expose the RX/TX Led. First with the cover ON locate the LED by feeling for it, mark with a magic marker (hard to see, yes, but visible, also yes). Then punch a small hole at the right spot and the LED becomes visible.I have three of these cases, would buy more if I needed more. But I only have 3 radios (again, reliability as a result of redundancy)Photos: Showing RX/TX Led after punching round hole in case. Then battery being slid off the radio, then by itself, then back in the radio. Total time to remove, and replace: about 30 seconds.

Good cheap case for a good cheap radio.
This case fit my UV-5RE nicely. It is not a tight fit, but is snug enough to stay in place. I do wonder if it will stretch over time. The one complaint that I have, which may not be fair to the product is that it blocks the ability to drop the radio into the charger and charge the battery. The battery will need to be removed to charge via the cradle. I have also not yet used the radio, but I cannot imagine that this case would restrict the audio output or mic input any more than the stock radio design does. Overall I am pleased, a cheap cover for my cheap radio, that might help it live through an extra drop or two. The fact that the case changes the color of the camo radio body is an added plus.

Fits Perfectly, Looks Good, & easy to grip. Worth Every Penny!
I got this for my Baofeng UV-5R for protection but was worried about some of the negative reviews. None of the negative points others have made about this case seem valid. Of course it is a *little* difficult to put on, but it is a snug fitting rubberized case... if it were easy to put on then it would fit loosely which would not be good. This case fits like a glove. As for taking off the belt clip to put it on, yes you do... but it is only two screws (how hard is that?). No, it won't fit in the charger with the case fully on... but no radio that I've seen with any kind of case will fit in a charger. With this one you don't have to remove the case, just slip it up an inch and it fits fine. All in all this is a great fitting case that offers better protection than a naked radio, looks good, and improves grip. For the price this is an excellent value.

All-around good case for my UV5R V2+
I haven't had this case long enough to vouch for it's longevity but I like the tight fit and the various holes and cutouts match my Baofeng UV52 V2+ perfectly. Yes, it's a little effort to put it on the radio but that's because of the final, snug and secure fit. It's worth the hassle. Charging is not a problem because it's very easy to just lift up the bottom of the case a couple inches to expose the charge terminals. Again, it's worth the hassle. I wonder if raising the bottom up that way will shorten the use-life of the case but only time will tell. I like the outer "finish" re the sort of flat black look and it's sort of skid-proof.I use my UV5R V2+ as a shirt-pocket radio so I use a stubby duck antenna and I don't use the belt clip. This makes for a nice & small, yet sturdy, spill resistant and versatile package. The non-slip case helps to keep the radio from slipping out of my pocket and provides a secure handheld grip, and the rubber seems like it will help to prevent minor nicks & scratches when the radio is dropped.I wish they made the same case for a UV5R V2+ with the 3800mah battery pack.

The rubber is a good protector don't get me wrong
The case is molded to fit the radio very well but you have to take the clip off to put the case on/off and if you want to charge you have to take the cover off in order to not stretch the rubber. If you want to switch to an external power supply or extended battery you have to take the case off again. The rubber is a good protector don't get me wrong, but I was very disappointed in the design flaws for those who use these often and frequent.

well-designed & constructed protective case
This thin skin soft case fits our Baofeng UV5RA's quite nicely while providing considerable shock & scratch protection. The case's design still allows use of all the buttons: Call, PTT, A/B, V/M, flashlight on/off, and Band all align and function perfectly. The belt clip may still be fastened as usual, and the speaker & mic jacks are accessible. Of course the keypad is fully exposed with this style case.As another reviewer suggested, it's easy to make a small hole in the case over the transmit LED on the UV5RA.The case and the UV5RA handshake perfectly well, with the flashlight's actual LED on top surrounded neatly. To allow the radio to sit in the battery charging cradle, the back of the case easily peels up 1/2" because the rubber is sufficiently supple to expose the battery contacts.Or, the battery can be removed to be charged by itself, with a second replacement battery inserted into the radio while the case is still in place. The "Baofeng" logo below the keypad is nice touch. For the $5+/- price point, this is a surprisingly well-designed and constructed protective case.

nice fit
I got this as added protection for the Baofeng UV-5R. It has a nice fit, there is some rubber flashing that you may need to trim off. The controls are still workable even with it on yet the only problem would be in charging it, you may need to lift up the case to place it in the charger or replace the battery.A good deal for a few bucks.

Not Bad
Not bad for the price, but the picture is deceptive. The material is so light I cannot get my case to stand up like that depiction at all.It is a sort of rubberized (does not SEEM to be any type of neoprene or the like) soft slip cover to go over the radio. There is no plastic screen cover or keypad cover; just open spaces. Basically, it is a scratch cover for the body and the side buttons.Fits not too bad and very little trouble to get it on. Bit more trouble getting it off again. There is so little too it though, I really question its ability to protect against anything more than the most casual of scrapes and dings. It gives me no more confidence in being safe to drop it than one without the case does.It certainly will not provide any weather or water protection. The fit is not tight enough and there are too many open areas for that. All in all, fine for what it is. In reality, I bought one to check them out. I have four UV-5Rs and I did not bother to buy more of these to cover them. I just lack any confidence it would really make a difference in protecting it.

it's ok. You have to take the cover off ...
it's ok . You have to take the cover off or take off the cover from the bottom of the radio and role it up so the radio will fit in the charger.

I can't say enough about just what good value this little set is
I can't say enough about just what good value this little set is. All the features you'd get on a set costing well over £100 are here and reception and TX are both superb. I would advise the purchase of a 40cm whip to replace the rubber antenna that comes with the set but you won't be disappointed with the radio. First class
