brilliant
Foreshadows much of the framing of today’s troubles—privilege, race, attitudes and necessity of the lines we draw against on another in the sand.

Great piece of theater literature
I loved following the characters and the heavy layers of symbolism nearly on every page. It was definitely a tug on personal perspective, asking the reader or the audience to really evaluate yourself based on how you interpreted the story. Great way to make you think.

Great!
Very interesting story to read , I loved it, it is a great book that will make you feel sad and anxious in the same time . It is a must read if you have a few hours to spare . This book is not long so it could be read in less than 4 hours

Baldwin remains as relevant today as he was 60 years ago.
James Baldwin is one of the most influential writers of the 20th century. His ability, as a black intellectual and writer, to write about racism and American society during the middle part of the century, was unparalleled. I hope to one day see a live performance this play enacted on the stage.

Great read
This is a great read. It’s the first play I’ve ever read and it was a page turner. I read a monologue for my acting class and decided to read the play as suggested by my instructor. It was great!

rating the company
This book was sent on time and in good condition. The book itself was not something I would read normally. It was required reading for school.
