Great product
I received my cookie press and used it the next day to make spritz cookies. It worked great, but I have used an electric cookie press before, so I knew what to expect. It took a little bit of trial to get the tube on and locked, but once I figured that out, it was a breeze. I would recommend this item to anyone who bakes cookies a lot. It takes practice when you first start using one, but once you get the hang of it, you will love it.

Worst cookie press!
This is the worst made cookie press I have ever used. I thought getting an electric cookie press would be easier on my hands, so I purchased this. Even after I watched u-tube videos it was still difficult to use and took about twice the normal time to try to make cookies. The piece that pushes the cookie dough down only worked for 3 cookies then disengaged. I tried it 4 times then gave up. I'll be going back to my hand cookie press in the future. I am disappointed in this Cuisinart product.

very easy, made great cookies
I bought Cuisinart's cookie press as kind of an experiment just to see if it would work. My mom has an old electric cookie press that she's had for years, and we've spent the last couple of Christmases worrying that it would break right in the middle of shooting out the cookies (though it still seems to work). Since I'd never before used a press like this myself and had read several negative reviews of Cuisinart's version, I had pretty low expectations. But I had no trouble at all! My mom had given me a few tips (use the recipe they give you in the instruction manual since it's formulated to work in the press and use the dough immediately--no freezing or refrigerating before using), and it was probably my easiest holiday baking project. I've been watching my mom do this for years so I had a pretty good sense of the rhythm with which you press the gun to the cookie sheet, and I wondered whether some of the reviewers who had trouble with the machine just weren't able to get that down? Some of the stencils they give you were better than others, but all in all it was incredibly easy to use, the cookies were delicious, and now we don't have to worry about the old one breaking down.

Shaft bends - very frustrating!
I bought this back in 2012, I've used it twice with great success and then I got so frustrated! It has made cookie making from a favorite activity to a hated one! On the third batch of same exact recipe and type of cookie (spritz) - the shaft bends constantly so you have to unlock and re-lock to straight again. In addition the cookies won't release - its like the whole mechanism loosens up and creates big problems! I went from being way impressed and raving about how quickly it made cookies (literally 10 minutes) to hating it for taking over an hour and couldn't finish the batch! Cuisinart will be getting a call - this is such a huge disappointment!

Cuisinart CCP 10 Electric Cooking Press is a Cook's Delight!!!
After reading all the reviews, I had it shipped as a gift for Christmas. My friend is an excellent and experienced cook. She invited me over, and we used it for the first time together. I can hardly wait to borrow it. The most important thing is obviously to use the recipes that come with it - they're GREAT, and the press works just like it's supposed to We made snickerdoodles and cintrus cookies, about 8 dozen of each, and they looked and tasted great. Just follow the assembly instructions carefully, and use the recipes that come with it.

Electric Cookie Press
Received tis product promptly (earlier than promised) and after a couple of tries, I learned how to use this most effectively. It works very well, my cookies turned out better that the ones I did with my old press. I followed the instructions as to how the batter should be room temperature, not too cold and not too warm and the patterns were beautiful. I only gave a four star rating because I would like to see a cookie press like this one with batteries so the cord would not have to be contended with when i am using the press. It makes for a more contained area and I like more space. Overall I give it five stars for performance and the four stars for ease of use.

1st time use it developed a loud click, does not work properly
I ordered this with high expectations since I've used only manual cookie presses. This was electronic and Cuisinart so I thought it would work as expected. I didn't open it to use until Christmas Eve and I was very upset to see that it did not perform well. Not only did it not perform well, it developed a loud click and each cookie took 40 sec's to get out of the cookie press to the cookie sheet. I followed all instructions in the manual and found this to be a horrible cookie press. Not sure that I can return it since I ordered this very early to be ready for Christmas, but will be trying to return.

Not up to Cuisinart Quality
I love my old cookie presses that finally died on me, but I was excited to get a cuisinart electric cookie press. My whole kitchen is furnished in cuisinart small appliances so I just knew this would be awesome. Well, it wasn't. There is simply not enough power in the cookie press, so you have to make your dough softer and not fill the container. So your cookies don't retain their shapes very well and it takes you twice as long as necessary to complete your baking. I would have returned it if I hadn't wanted to make the cookies when it arrived. I guess even Cuisinart can have a lemon.
