They work just fine, but I would get comfortable with the idea of clipping the heater units to your boot strap as a better solution.

Toasty Tootsies
I now have toasty feet when I am idiot enough to ski in frigid conditions. These are great. Numerous settings to control how hot they get. I forked out the cash to get them installed. I figured I'd rather pay then foul it up and wreck my ski boots. I have Tecnica boots, I did not need the hardware, they clipped right on to the bootstrap. You have to recharge the battery after every use, no biggie. For me, they did not make a difference in the fit of my boot, though I have been told by others that they did make their boots a little tighter. Also, if the leg of your ski pants is narrow, getting the gaiter and pants over them can be tricky. But I would rather have warm feet.

Not secure,
Easy to install, but.... Battery is somewhere on mammoth mountain. Yep... I usually use the power strap clips but my these boots dont have one, so I tried these clips and bye bye.... When you put them on your going to say... hmm. I wonder if the battery can work it's way loose. Well it can..

A more permanent mount!
Nice to have a more permanent battery mount. Installation fairly easy. Takes a little courage to drill in the back of your boot. If you are tired of boot strap flopping from the weight of the battery, this is an upgrade. I do like have the battery on the back of the as opposed to the side.

Worst brackets
I was very hopeful these would be a good bracket but they didn’t make it through one day of skiing. One bracket broke off within the first hour and the battery was lost, the second fell of the bracket but I felt it before it fell to the ground. If I could I would give the three stars.

Pleasantly surprised
These things work a lot better than I thought they would

Broke into a million pieces the first time I mounted the batteries to it.
I went to great care to ensure it was installed correctly. The first time I mounted the battery to the clip and rotated it 90 degrees to lock it, as the instructions stated, the plastic broke into a million pieces. The other one is still connected and seems secure although I don't think I can trust it while skiing.The seller will only refund my purchase price, not replace it. Too bad. I now have two holes in my boots.Hotronic should make this piece out of metal.
