A must read for Disney fanatics!
This books starts with the simple but heartwarming tale of how Walt's garage was saved by a team of Disney lovers (headed by the author, the Late, Great, Arthur "Buddy" Adler). Now sure, Walt didn't do too much work there, but it was a important part of history and it was about to be torn down when Buddy and his buddies saved it. But that's not all- no,Disney History experts Bob McLain and Jim Korkis are not gonna leave you wanting more. So, with the assistance of Bob Bowman they manage to put together another "must read' book on Disney history and trivia. Included are several fascinating chapters on the early days of working at Disney, (with a great tale of how Bob convinced Japanese souvenir-makers to come up with Disney quality stuff for Tokyo DL), a behind the scenes chapter about Bob Penfield - the last Original Disneyland Cast Member, Walt Disney's Secret Speech and more. I got a note from the publisher: Art died just a couple of weeks before this book was released. In his will, he directed that royalties go to his church, and when Bob makes back his outlay on cover art, production, etc., he is going to kick in his share of the revenue, too. Nice! I am reliably informed that Art was a really nice guy, and one of those "characters" you don't see working for Disney so much these days." Very readable. Historic, educational. Heartwarming. A must read for Disney fanatics!

Mostly fluff
The story about saving the garage took about 20 pages at the most. That was interesting, and yet it appeared to be written just to make sure someone else didn't get the credit for it that he didn't deserve. The rest of the book was mostly filler or "fluff," most of which was not worthwhile.
