Robert Mapplethorpe: Polaroids

A completely beautiful selection of Mapplethorpe's polaroid work from the early 70s and 80s. For fans of Patti Smith (and I would most definitely recommend fans of Mapplethorpe reading her book  Just Kids ) this includes a few shots from their many shoots together, it's great to see the work they did together in such brilliant print quality, as opposed to the low-res online versions. A brilliant addition to any photography / art book collection. Grab it while it's new and so well priced!

Mapplethorpe went out to shock and this collection of Polaroids gives an insight into the genius he became.Early work shows the promise of what was to come - but a word of warning - if graphic nudity offends, then perhaps you should order a copy of the Beano album instead!
