Can anyone tell me how tall this quiver is? I am considering using it with a cello, if it is not so tall as to get in the way while playing.

It is a little longer than most bass tailpieces. It could work, but you would have to do some manipulation so that it would not get in the way. I think it is a little big for what you are looking for.
