I love how well it was packed and it looks to be in exceptional order and exactly what I wanted! I do need to say that I have NOT TRIED TO USE IT YET! It’s a Christmas present so I’m hoping everything is OK for me

It’s not waterproof

I received this product and only got the remote control, charger and the white shell. The LED lights that go inside the orb were completely missing from my order.

Much brighter than the images

The media could not be loaded.  It indicates in the instructions that it should be charged for 8 hours and that there was a red LED to indicate it was charging. At first I couldn’t find the LED, though I perceived some light coming from the ball. Rotating unlocking and removing the inside portion of the ball allowed me to see the charging indicator. I left it to charge. In much less than 8 hours, the LED went out. I assumed that meant it was charged and I began playing with the remote. It is easy to change the color and there are action buttons down one side of the remote that allow it to change patterns. See the short video for an example. I requested this thinking that my grandson would like it and I am looking forward to when I am allowed to give it to him. Notice the label pictured, this product has a UL mark on it, which is always good to see.

UPDATED: From 5 stars to 1. Just like that. It died. Completely. Was great at first, but dead now. Bummer.I like this a lot, but I have had a mixed experience. I still give it five stars, you just have to know what issues are there.For a floaty thing that glows in your pool, it is very cool. If you wanted it on a post outside, yep, still cool. Both are options. You charge it and then get the remote and can choose the colors. Cool.After the first night's use (when it just made our old ratty pool look glamourous!) I found water inside. I thought it was dead. But the charged pack is in a sealed compartment so it was fine. It needed a fresh charge (so figure on charging it daily or using just for special occasions). Why the water went in, I don't know. But once I removed the sealed pack I dried it and when it was reinserted it worked fine. So maybe you'll have to dry it out too.One other issue is that if you have kids you can see what might happen: it looks like a ball. Like a ball to throw. It is not. It is hard plastic so one throw would kill it. I thought of that right before my son had friends over. So I hid it. Because I knew they'd be drawn to it and break it immediately. So just know it's not a pool toy or ball. It's just an orb.The plastic is thick and matte, the colors are glowy and pretty. It doesn't light the pool, so you can still swim and not worry your thighs are on display (like when the pool light is on).Would be a neat gift. I like it alot.
