Perler Beads Fused Bead Kit, Dino Mountain Make the grandchildren or children happy by buying this fused bead kit. My grandchildren have done similar fuse projects but never dinosaur kinds!How great that there are some examples that kids can get ideas from, and the kids will start creating their own projects and their own creatures. My granddaughter loved it (it was her birthday present). She is nine, and it wasn't too "baby" or too hard for her. Siblings got involved, when she let them, and her creations were easy for her mom to supervise and help with.Even though I received this at a discount, it did not affect my review of this product.

Please don't waste your money. Placing the rods and beads is tedious and takes forever because they are designed to fit between the prongs on the board, not on them. You have to be VERY precise and delicate. Once you conquer that step, when you attempt to iron it, the rods are MUCH higher than the beads, which means that the designs do not melt evenly. The rods fuse together and stick to the wax paper, but the beads have yet to be melted by the iron and remain loose. One slightly uneven circular pass with the iron and the entire project pops off the base, resulting in beads going everywhere and your time being wasted. (Not to mention a sad child whose project is ruined.) The sets with the beads alone are great, but until the manufacturer calibrates the height of the beads to match the height of the rods when lying down, don't waste your time or money on the combo sets.

I really like Perler beads in general. While the colors and sizes of the beads are all mixed up, this pack includes the patterns and a 29X29 square pegboard and patterns to complete the designs on the cover.Assembly can be a bit awkward with the general sizing of the rods, but it adds a new dimension to the Perler bead crafting game. This is a great project for families, or even people that like puzzles. I highly recommend this set!I received a discount on this item in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
