Pinoy Fiesta Paste, Spreads and Yams, 2 Packs (Crab Paste)

This is so delicious. I store these in my freezer then when I feel like it, put a teaspoon on top of the rice & so yummy! I would buy it again - almost done with the first bottle. It keeps well in the freezer & soft enough to scoop when needed.

I was originally looking for the Filipino Tropics brand which suddenly became unavailable in Asian stores. It is not the same at all. It's too pasty, heavy on the red dye, less in flavor. This is in comparison to Tropics though. I added salt to it, but didn't help to imitate Tropics. If you have nothing else, this is the better alternative instead of seeking another Asian country brand.

This two pack cost $23; however, the item is difficult to find in stores. The Crab Paste is good quality and necessary in a number of Filipino dishes that we make.

This was perfect for the rice dish I made.
