Best Back Save!
I rely on this product through Spring to Fall. I mow and manage 5 acres of our property and this “40” Reacher” saves me time and effort when mowing, trimming trees, and fence line. With scores of hard and soft wood trees, I can plan a full day just picking up limbs. This product saves my back in picking up debris when on the mower or the tractor. I usually get a couple of years use from one, but I use the worn out one’s for parts. I highly recommend this U. S. Made product over the others I’ve used in the past 20 years. Bravo!

High quality, commercial grade
Sometimes you just have to pay more to get decent quality products. After reading the reviews of cheaper made products which just don't seem to last a long time, I decided to buy these. I did have experience with these because a friend uses these ez reachers at a provincial park in Canada that he maintains as a camp host. So they get plenty of use on a daily basis. He has even used them to pick items out of a burn camp fire.

Extend Your Reach and Get a Grip
I own four of these "reachers" I think the product is that good. It can, for example, pick up heavy items at a distance like a heavy jar of jam or a large plastic bottle of sugar. I haven't tried to pick up items at the advertised limit of 8 pounds, but the construction of the reacher leaves no doubt it can pick up what I need. The construction of the reacher is a gun style trigger actuator (for user control) and a long stiff aluminum box beam ending with suction style cup 'grabbers' mounted on stainless steel leaf springs. The reacher itself is not heavy. The narrow box beam means I can get into tight spaces, and the suction cup ends on the leaf springs means the cups grip with tenacious force without damaging what I want to pick up. The company also ships the product to you in boxes designed to deliver their product to you undamaged. I have had no corrosion problems or failure with any of my reachers. All in all a well designed and useful product.

Sturdy, Long Reaching, Great for outdoors.
This is very sturdy and a bit longer than the other ones we've used. I usually purchase Delux Gopher for in my home but I don't like that they fold. This one does not fold which is great...but the grip is a bit narrower than the Gopher. This grabber came in handy with harvesting pecans off our tree that were out of reach. I bought it to use inside my home but the narrow grip makes it less convenient.I won't need to buy this again...because it's very sturdy and I purchased two. That will last me a life time.

Useful Beyond the Obvious For Anyone
I bought my first one to be able to retrieve things my husband, almost a foot taller than I, put on high shelves. I found its use extended beyond just height and found myself using it when assembling a bench to get tools a little farther away. I bought a second one for rehab from an accident that left me progressing from bed to a wheelchair to a walker to a cane and, finally, back to normal mobility. During and after rehab, I used the older one for outdoors and kept the new one clean for indoors. I just ordered a third to keep in my new RV since it seems there is always need to be able to reach a bit farther for something. These rascals are durable and versatile. I had no problem picking up a dime from various surfaces in my test run, something I hadn't expected. I slip a couple of pick-up bags on the outdoor one, and it does a fine job tidying up on dog walks, better than any tool I've bought specifically for dog waste. It bears saying that my dog is on a kibble that provides "firm stool" output. I would expect the EZ would be challenged by looser output. My old farm house has fairly high ceilings, and the reacher is helpful in extending the scope of my duster to the corner cobwebs.

Strong and fine gripping, with great length to save my back and get to hard to reach places
I received this last week and have already put it to good use in two ways:1. At the end of our long driveway is a section of woods on a fairly busy road, and every once in a while I have to go out and pick up trash from the edge of the woods. Here in New England if you don't do it daily, you're often picking up soggy cups and wrappers or things that have been half-buried in leaves, or partially frozen to the ground. I used the EZ Reacher to pick up about 15 pieces of trash without worrying about getting my hands full of someone's dip spit or something worse. The grip of the EZ Reacher was fine enough that I was able to grab fast food wrappers. and strong enough to lift a half-filled soda can that was frozen among some leaves.2. You know those pesky leaves in your garage that get caught behind bikes, lawn equipment and other items? Without having to bend over or move any of the equipment, I used the EZ Reacher to tidy up my garage.I'm very happy with the quality and length of the EZ Reacher. BTW, I'm 5' 10" and the 40 inch length is perfect.

Well built Grabber
I use a lot of these in recreational shooting to pick up brass. This is by far the most durable and agile. The wire cable will outlast the picker itself. Stay away from the folding varieties and be sure that the cups grab at 90 degrees to the handle (like these do).

great grabber with a longer reach
Longer version of the same grabber offered in 32 inch length. I've had EZ-Reacher grabbing devices for several years. This one seems to be of similar build quality as the past ones I've owned. It has good balance and a length, especially with outdoor chores. The EZ Reacher has several unique features that set it apart from other grabber devices. The most obvious is that the grabbing end has "suction cups" instead of a hard surface. The suction cups actually provide some of the best flexibility for picking up small items -- or even sheets of paper. The second feature is that the grabbing end is made of thin strips of springy metal. These provide for flexibility when grabbing odd-shaped items. They also limit the effort in picking up a wrong-sized item -- if it's too heavy, the springs will let it slide out of the grasper. This keeps you from risking picking up over-weight items. (Care must be used when grabbing items off a shelf to ensure a firm grip on heavier items -- and to test to ensure that the item isn't overweight.)Finally, there are repair parts available online, should you wear out the grabber.
