This little thing is screaming!!! I’ve noticed that a lot of people have said that it doesn’t put out much bass. Well in a way it’s true if you’re just installing these speakers without a subwoofer. At the same time they do flex a little but you need to connect them to an additional amp and not just to your car stereo, to get the sound these babies are made for! But if you are putting this/these type of speakers with a big subwoofer which is my case, then this speakers are ideal and put out just enough bass when turned up high not to interfere with the bass that your subwoofer will produce. Because if you have a subwoofer installed with door speakers that trying to bump at the same time, then it sound like crap. This speaker puts out the exact amount of bass that I needed which won’t make the whole system sound bad when I have the subwoofer installed, I’m still working on box for the new subwoofer. But from my experience I can Already tell that it will sound awesome! I’ll try to load some videos of before and after as well as pictures. And of the Decibel reader that I have, but it reads only up to 130db and with this new speaker it kept saying overload or something like that 😂 If you have a dedicated amp for them then don’t overload them from the beginning like I did by mistake, need to brake them In for a few days first. It got stinky in my case for a little while but it didn’t burn out. Pros: 1. Very loud and crisp 2. Good build quality Cons: 1. 30 minutes later I still got a headache after running some test lol 😂 Edit: unfortunately Amazon let me load only one vid so I loaded the one of the new speaker. You cannot really see it flexing on the video but it does flex a little!

These speakers are amazing. I made a custom box and threw 2 of these DS18 mids in there, and wow. They're so loud and have crystal clear sound, not lots of bass, but they are loudspeakers so thats not what I was expecting. I have two American Bass 12's in the trunk and paired with these, my system screams louder and beats harder than anything I've ever heard. If you are looking for loud midrange speakers for a upgraded system these are the way to go. Also, I would recommend these only if you have some sort of aftermarket bass setup, because they are so overpowering for factory speakers even on a stock amp😵‍💫

This thing is super clear and stupid loud. I bought it to replace an Audio Legion bullet style 6.5. I really liked that this DS18 has a much higher frequency range than the 6k the Legion had. I will say the Audio Legion with its bullet tweeter is a little more clear and focused in certain frequencies, but in terms of overall sound and power handling, this thing has it whooped by a considerable margin. They do make this with a bullet tweeter also, so if you want that type of focused awsomeness, buy that one. The Audio Legion only topped at 100 watts and had great sound and I wanted to see just how accurate that was since I have an extra pair laying around. Fyi, Audio Legion was under-rated for sure. This DS18 PRO is in a whole different game entirely though!! Loud is an understatement. I have it crossed over at 140hz and 12db down paired with some Alpine-S 6.5 and a couple Focal 6.5 along with a bunch of other stuff and this fills in PERFECTLY!! Make sure you tune it properly off your amp and DSP if you have one, otherwise it may overpower your other speakers. Or, just replace them all with these and really piss off your eardrums. Buy this style for the frequency range or get the bullet style for the focused clarity. Either way, you win. Oh, be careful on your mounting depth because these aint no chinsy speaker and need some room behind your panels.

Excelente me encantó el poder y definición, los dejé sin graves con un HPF del amplificador ya qué a volumen alto llegaba a distorsionar , pero sin duda son gran opción los volvería a comprar.
