Very helpful book
There is a lot of spiritual material in this small book. Couldn't put it down once I started. Author did repeat some sections but still a great value.

What a profound look at life through a different lens
I got a lot out of this sweet, challenging, concise look at life through the story of a shepherd and his sheepdog. Keller was an amazing thinker and writer and this book will undoubtedly bless you.

Loved this book. Perfect illustration of God’s love and care. Read years ago and kept in my library. Gave it to someone and repurchased.

This is a Big Treasure in a little package
A friend suggested this book and I am so glad she did. The story of this sheepdog, Lass, and the man who changed her life is so heartwarming. But the comparison he makes between his relationship with this reluctant sheepdog and the 23 Psalm is so descriptively compelling and revealing. You have to stop and think about it every couple of paragraphs to get the love he is describing of the Lord as our Shepard and humanity as reluctant sheep. I bought 3 more for Christmas gifts

A Good Read
This book is a beautiful comparison between the love of a dog and his master to the love between us and God. It was an eye-opener for me, showing me a lot of ways I can be closer to God.

What A Beautiful Writer
I have discovered, or better put, rediscovered the brilliant and poetic writings of the late Philip Keller. Lessons From A Sheepdog is but another example. He turns a simple life story into something wonderfully descriptive in our walk with the Savior. His "A Shepherd Looks At the 23rd Psalm" is a masterpiece. Highly recommend his writings!

Excellent
I love the series of book by this author who describes for us the analogy of God as our good shepherd. This one that depicts a wayward sheep dog further explores the idea of how we are nurtured and trained by God. Highly recommended

What an insightful book
This book is an easy to read and delightful account of the love shared by a shepherd and his dog. Its a simple story that details the devotion shared between shepherd and co-worker; yet it enlightens the relationship between Jesus and his Christian co-workers.

A good short bedtime book
This is a very easy to read book and not too long ,written by a farmer who takes on a wild dog ,tames it and uses it to work on his farm. He draws a lesson from this dog which is a great help in the battle of life. Also, it is a true story.
