I've ordered these a few times now, and they're generally very fresh. It's probably a good blend of the various types of candy, but, although I like licorice, I could do without so many pieces of plain, solid licorice. I like the little white-filled tubes, and I definitely like the chocolate squares the best. Unfortunately there's more of the pink and yellow ones, and a bunch of those coconut ones which are, meh. But that does little to control my impulse to scarf them all down. The bag is big, and that spells (tasty) trouble!

I was looking forward to this candy as it was one of my Mother’s favorites. What I got was a bag of hard , very dried out licorice. I remember chewy, colorful coconut and licorice chews. Will not recommend this to anyone. Threw it out!

So good. I treat myself to this every few months. Love black licorice.

I've purchased these candies several times. I've never gotten a bag of candy that was "hard" or disgusting. They come in a very thick, heavy-duty sealed plastic bag. If people received really hard or stale candies, maybe it's an issue with the seller. Not the quality of the product. I agree, the price is too high. I don't like the bitter black, long, cylinder-shaped pieces of licorice all too generously added to the bags of candies. They are a bad contrast and differ from the licorice that is attached to the candy pieces. I might recommend to the candy manufacturer not to overwhelm the bag with so many of those bitter pieces. The coconut is chewy and sweet, and goes well with the licorice sandwiched between the colorful coconut slices, or stuck in the middle of a circular piece of candy. Other brands of candies of this sort do not come in 2-pound bags. They are just as pricey and in smaller quantities. I would give five stars if there weren't so many of those cylindrical, bitter pieces of licorice.

Arrived on time with no damage. I have ordered this product several times now. Each time they have been the same. Fresh, great tasting, licorice! The bag seals well. The licorice is a good mix of the different types, even my wife has started eating them! Other brands have been stale or contained too many plain black licorice pieces, this particular product does not! Highly recommended.

It makes me so sad to advise you against purchasing this candy. The first two bags I bought were so delicious. The candy was soft and chewable with wonderful flavors. The third bag I got was horrible. Everything was rock hard, most of it inedible. I was so disappointed. But then I got to thinking that had to be a fluke. Try again because the first two were so good. Well the fourth was not as bad as the third. It was hard and stale...

If you are a fan of black licorice this is the very best especially for the price this licorice is old school was kind of American style before, but I have to go out of America because I guess Americans changed their taste so I’m old-school in this black licorice coconut is just so great. This is really worth the price and the product came extremely fast so I would recommend that you ordered this brand because it takes so short of a time for it to reach you I ordered it one day the next day it was here so yeah I’m giving it 10 out of 10. It’s the best for the price. UK really has a great product. I highly recommend this licorice if you’re a fan of black and old-school licorice.

The licorice is not good quality in this. The texture is like a yoga mat, and instead of being soft and chewy, it is like a stale gummy. I tossed my bag after trying all the different pieces and finding none enjoyable. Don't get this if you are craving good licorice.
