If you install it right you'll love it!
I bought the 3700 Boss 5 channel amp with a goal of a well balanced sound for all types of music. Not only did I hit this goal, but it's louder the I ever imagined. I have my Boss Amp hooked to two 6.5" 3 way 300 watt boss door speakers With tweeters in the front, two 6.5 two way speakers and tweeters in the back, and one 1100 watt 12" Pioneer Comp Sub in the cargo area in a 2004 Tahoe. I added a Capicitor mainly because I got it as a bonus. FYI, Before I had the capacitor installed I didn't have any issues with power. I am using 8 gauge power and ground wires, and 6 channel Stinger RCA cables. I did run into some engine noise at first, but then I found out you need to run RCA opposite side of power wire. Rookie mistake on my part. Once I changed my mistake by re running my RCA cable away from my power Line, all my interference noise stopped. when I read some of the bad reviews, I felt the problems people were having was due to improper installation. So far one month after my installation my intuition was correct, because I have yet to have any issues that wasn't corrected from me being a rookie. Matching your gains on all amplithfilers is very important for audio quality and Ampliphier performance. This is the main problem for all Ampliphiers not performing correctly and not lasting. There are Lots of helpful hints if you search How to tune your AMP on the internet. I'm guessing this could be some of the problems the lower reviewers guys could be having. This AMP gets plenty loud, and provides lots of power. When I run music at normal levels My AMP stays cool and runs fine. When you run it hard it does get warm but not to hot to touch and sound great. I installed this under my passenger seat in my 2004 Chevy Tahoe and it fits perfect. People with smaller cars pay attention to dimensions because this AMP is a monster. My friends were easily impressed by the sound and the cool look the way it lights up especially at night. I went expensive on an Apple Car play receiver and Boss really helped me out by giving me an affordable option to continue to add to my expensive receiver at a very affordable price. It's a no brainer if you're in the market for a dive loud system, just make sure it's installed correctly before writing a review. I made lots of mistakes but after researching my problems I got it performing like a Boss! The Phantom 3700 gives you plenty of options to achieve your goals and a great option for people with limited resources. Keep in mind when you're costing Ampliphiers out, the hardware such as wires cables conectors ect: can get very costly ontop of your equipment. I spent almost as much on hardware as I did on the Amp. Boss makes this less painful by giving you such a good deal from the start. I decided to spend less money on the Amp and more money on the correct wires and cables. Try it out, install it right and you'll Love it!

There are a lot of things to like
It seems like they thought of every possible installation situation with this amp, in addition to including a 5th channel.for a subwoofer. There are high and low impedance connections and many other adjustments. As far as power output, I have not had any problems powering my 5 3/4" speakers and tweeters in the front or the 5 3/4" and 4x6" pairs on the back channel. It is also powering my Fosgate 12" thin mount sub very well .I am getting exactly the clarity and volume that I wanted to be able to listen with all 4 truck windows down at highway speed. The lights are nice as well, but they will eventually be covered when I reinstall the rear bench seat.Seems like a well built frame and unit oveall.I don't really have any complaints assuming it lasts for a while.I definitely would NOT buy the copper coated aluminum boss wiring kit again though. Do yourself a favor and go with real copper wire. It's hard to belive that the Boss company that built this nice amp would agree to put their name on that embarrassing wire kit.

Nice. Check your head unit before you say it doesn't work.
Had a fright when I installed it, didn't work for all 4 channels. Discovered a loose RCA jack to my head unit. Then once that was solved all channels worked but any volume at all began a reverb. I adjusted the input gains and found the right level and it has been great since. Way more amp then I need in an extended cab truck, but now I only turn it up to 25% and am happy with the sound. Clean and crisp. I get some hiss if I switch to surround sound mode on my head unit, not sure why, but I rarely watch movies in my truck. So word to the wise, check your settings for HOW you are using it, 2 channel, 4 channel, 5 channel, High Power or Low Power inputs, full range or high pass/low pass filter. Mine came set for low pass, I switched to Full range 4 channel to match my head unit, adjusted the gain on the inputs, and even took it down a little farther after I got clear sound. I don't need to over drive the inputs since I have a WHOLE lot of amp in a truck.** Update, Still loving it. I wanted to use the 5th channel to power my Center Channel from my Head-Unit (since I already have a powered Boss 10 inch subwoofer attached to my Head Unit subwoofer channel), but when I tried, the 5th channel still puts out a lot of bass and you lose the center channel frequencies. I am trying to find a good fit for a 2 channel amp for the center channel and I will add another 10 inch subwoofer to the 5th channel. Just want to fill that hollow sound area in the center of the vehicle. I am thinking a smaller boss Phantom 2 channel 1100 watt amp will do what I need.Needless to say, it is already a LOT of sound in a Toyota Tundra cab! I don't need it up loud, it sounds fantastic.
