Works perfectly with Sonos devices.
I needed a replacement cord for my Sonos as I had misplaced it. This was a perfect replacement for the product that comes with the Sonos devices. Happy to see that this meets the standard of a premium audio company. I don't always love the price of replacement items, but this one was surely needed, and it provides the proper functionality.

Sonos sound bar HDMI adaptor
Had to purchase to get my Sonos sound bar to work again. It seems that the TV or sound bar updated the software and no longer recognizes the HDMI cable connection and stopped working. I guess Sonos (the company) needed some more money so they sent out an update to make everyone buy an adaptor to use their sound bar again. Seems like a dirty trick to me. Won't buy Sonos products again.

One of a kind
This little adapter deserves so much praise. I haven't found anything like this from any other brand and it's just exactly what I was looking for. Yes it is intended for Sonos products, but like another reviewer who confirmed it worked for their non-Sonos product, I want to say this also works for the Samsung HW-S800D soundbar. It may not be the case for all products but it's absolutely worth the try if you need an HDMI ARC to optical adapter until you upgrade your TV. You won't be able to utilize Dolby Atmos and you'll need either the original soundbar remote or a universal one to control the volume with a single remote, but that is a small price to pay for the time being. I'm still able to enjoy all the other features my soundbar has to offer with no degrade in quality.

Needed for Sonos Amp
I bought this to replace the TV HDMI input on my Sonos Amp because with the TV HDMI input made the Sonos app crash consistently. This adaptor solved the problem. I cant believe Sonos doesnt include this adaptor in their overpriced amp.

Not for every situation
Did not work for my TV. I was trying to go from an arc TV to optical on the old sound bar one.

Unique product
I needed this due to the fact I switched cable companies and my surround sound system would not connect to their cable box. No optical connection. With this I was able to connect to a HDMI utilizing optical connections. Worked perfect.

For Sonos amp buy only Sonos optical audio adapter
This is a great product works perfectly with my Sonos amp and the TV. Easy to install and it is just plug and play.
